Our men's metal- and mutilation-free Timberland PRO Drivetrain athletic work boots offer lightweight comfort, but they're all business when it comes to protection. Not only are their abrasion-resistant ripstop nylon uppers tough enough to handle working on your feet all day, they feature composite safety toes powered by Carbon Shield technology for extra strength, TPU toe overlays for extra durability in this high abrasion area, and they are designed for Electro Static Dissipating (ESD) compliance to minimize hazards from static electricity buildup. For comfort, we added our Anti-Fatigue Technology polyurethane footbeds for all-day shock absorption and energy return and a breathable, moisture-wicking lining made of ReBOTL fabric containing at least 50% recycled plastic. Plus, their lightweight outsoles are made of heat-, oil-, slip-, and abrasion-resistant, non-marking, All-Weather TPU for enhanced traction.

On my second pair
I have to use steel toe or composite toe shoes for work. I purchased a few other pairs and they were not comfortable or sturdy. When I purchased these they were lightweight and comfortable right out of the box no breaking in period. Not to mention they look nice compared to others. I wore these so long (2 years 8 to 10 hours a day)that when it was time to buy another pair the size had rubbed off in the inside so I had to guess what size I originally purchased. I had to return them and go a size up. Since I am a woman and these are mens shoes.Totally worth the hassle. I will continue to buy these over and over again. I also told my coworker about them and now she has a pair and loves them as much as I do.

Great shoes!
I have had 2 pairs of Drivetrains before. Love them! Light, soft on feet. If you do a lot of walking on hard small sharp rocks you probably will feel them to much. I don’t mind at all but I’m not on them all the time. Soles do wear out faster than other shoes I’ve had. You can’t even feel the composite toes, Timberlines are the only safety toes I can say that about. Redwing’s were good until they started making them in China :( These are made there too but made much better! One downside with this pair is that they didn’t put speed lacers on them, have to lace through holes all the way up. Bad design! Other than that, right out of the box I wore them 2 days, 16-18 hrs at least - no sore spots, great shoes!

Just as described
Perfect fit. Good quality. May need insoles, but that’s just my personal opinion. I like a lot of padding

Really comfortable, just not built to last
I really love Timberland shoes and boots. I've worn them for work for years and typically I stick with the same shoe. I decided to venture out and get this one and let me tell you I really enjoyed it at first, I still do technically. The problem is is I look down today and there's a giant rip along the fabric. I just got these less than a month ago, and for the price point you'd think they'd be a little bit more durable. Makes me question their legitimacy. I love to talk to a Timberland representative about this because I've been buying your shoes for years, this may mean I go elsewhere which is unfortunate cuz you guys make some pretty comfy shoes and boots. I really want to go lower than three stars but they are super comfortable, lightweight, and look good! But for a work boot they need to be durable!!

Extremely comfortable for data center work
As a data center technician, I am often running around on concrete or standing for long periods of time, and spend at least 8 hours of my day on my feet. The ESD shoes provided by the employer immediately caused hip and knee issues, and after working in these shoes for several months, I really cannot recommend them more. I took five steps in them, and my hip popped right back into place and hasn't bothered me since. They hold and cradle your ankle to help support and reinforce an ergonomic stance while standing for long periods, and the insoles are very comfortable for both walking and standing. I am rough on my footwear and expect to have to replace these after 9-12 months, but that's related to my personal workflow and not the quality of the shoes (I use the composite toe to stop my cart more often than I should - they are still holding up remarkably well). I have not had any issues passing the ESD test even after several months of wear. Once again, literally cannot recommend these more for working long periods on concrete floors.
