The space Commander brings you the spacey sounds of vintage chorus and reverb with a powerful clean boost on board. With simple controls and the ability to use Each effect separately or engage All three effects with one stomp, you’ll find yourself fully in command of your spacial exploration like none other! So let's suit up, grab your space Blaster, and prepare for take-off. The space Commander is three-effects-in-one...With a one-knob control for each of the effects: boost, chorus, and reverb. Each effect is independently engaged by a toggle below the knob, and the pedal's master on/off is the foot switch. The "boost" Is a simple but powerful Transistor boost that can be used to give your rig more volume or send your amp into natural breakup, perfect for tube amplifiers. The chorus is a classic swirling 80S style chorus. When increasing the chorus control the speed increases while the depth decreases, and when decreasing it the speed decreases and the depth increases. The reverb is a hall reverb that is perfect for adding that 80S style decay to your sound. The reverb knob controls your reverb mix, from fully dry to fully wet. All these combined will have you screaming “Friday, I’m in love” in no time.

Lacks headroom.
I love JHS pedals, and have a Panther Cub v. 1. I REALLY wanted to love this pedal, but found that the delay line could not handle the passive output of my Les Paul hum buckers. This results in a buzzy high end distortion on the delay repeats if you play too hard. Not good at all when playing clean. Also, the active EQ magnifies the buzz, making it unusable. Perhaps the pedal was out of spec or defective (it was brand new in the box from Amazon Prime), as the V1 could handle even being in my amp's FX loop without distorting. But this pedal could not even handle the direct guitar signal without distorting.

pretty good when it works, but not worth the money
spring tank - it does a good spring reverb but nothing any better than a $30 reverb tank. it has some extra features like boosting the smain signal and just the highs of the reverb which is a nice touch. The bad part is its very expensive for what u get, about double what it should cost. It also stops working sometimes and i have to unplug and replug it in and it works again. very annoying and i woulsnt trust it to hold up in a gig and am just waiting for the day it stops working and the replug doesnt fix it.

A Delay/Echo that just works
This is a really nice delay/echo pedal. It's not as digital sounding as others I have tried. The boost feature might come in handy if you don't have another boost on your board. The only thing I dislike is the odd shape. I tried it vertically for a few weeks and finally just had to switch it to horizontal so I could hit the buttons with my big feet. I am personally more into the old Sun Studio slap back sound rather than the U2 type sound so your mileage might vary.

If I could only have one pedal, this would be the one.
This is my “if I could only have one pedal on a desert island” pedal. The slap back is perfection: not too much, not too little. And I play with the boost on 95% of the time. Between the two effects, it’s an ALWAYS on pedal. 95% of the time both effects are engaged. The other 5% of the time it’s one or the other.

It does one thing really well, and...that's it.
This is a fun pedal if you are really into the 80s guitar sound heavily used by R*** A****, but that is about it. The controls are pretty limited, even if there are usable tones within. I would only recommend this if you are into alt-country/singer-songwriter/adult contemporary guitar music, or don't have much space on your pedalboard. Otherwise it is overpriced for what it does.

I associated "Milkman" with the famous Milkman amplifiers for steel guitars
I have a slideking lap steel that I hoped this pedal would give me a nice "Pedal Steel" sound with the delay, and boost. It works awesome, wide range of adjustment from mild to wild. Or you can just use the boost for a nice distortion sound that's not too dirty.

Dreamy
The pedal really adds so much depth and dimension. It’s fun to crank up the reverb and just space out

Disappointing
Nowhere near enough reverb for authentic sounding surf music. Very disappointed- returned for a refund.

Brilliant slap/echo pedal with boost on the side!
Sounds fantastic, very quiet/clean and really enhances the tone of a good amp.

Stopped working after a 8 months
This is a good sounding spring reverb. I really liked it, until it started to do weird things. It started to have major output problems, with almost no output coming out of it. I made all the tests required, trying a different power supply, different cable, switching between the FX loop and the front of the amp, etc. The issue was always coming back. JHS failed to repair it and offered me a 25% coupon on merch (not on a new pedal)... So yeah, never buying JHS ever again.
