Don't buy this leash unless your dog is lighter than a bowling ball
Loaded up this awesome long leash, a bunch and treats and headed to an open park. My 70lb malamute was ready to run, tail wagging as I clipped on this lead. She doesn't have good recall and this is just the thing I need to train her. She ran out into the field and as she started to get further away the lead went taught, a tiny tug, and then it snapped. So now I am chasing my poor recall puppy around the park with a 15 foot tail of leash. Good thing I brought my treats because this thing snapped like it was meant to break. Would not recommend for any dog over 20 pounds.

Excellent cotton lead, unless it is nylon
Use for training and hiking, gives dog room to move around and check everything out. Have a 70lb pit, have always been happy with this lead. Not too thick or heavy, can add knots and handles where you want. That being said..Dog needs to be trained if you intend to use this as a leash. Don't expect to just head out and not have your dog tangle you into a knot or wrap around every tree or bush. Or pedestrian. Or other dog. And if they are not leash trained, expect to be pulled to the ground with all the extra momentum they will get. After reading reviews, a cloth lead should never be used as a tie-out, dogs teeth will cut through cotton or nylon in about 3 seconds flat. Will not have to gnaw on it, may not leave teeth marks, it can be a clean cut. (Yes mine has done it) Protect your pet and buy a plastic coated wire tie out.2/21 update: purchased again, and was disappointed to find this is now nylon and no longer cotton. The description says cotton but the details say nylon :( It is a good weight and not paper thin like some nylon leads, but be aware if your dog takes off and pulls it through your fingers it will tear through your skin. Will update if it does not wear as well as the cotton

He's Spoiled . . .
We have several of these leads in different lengths that we use all the time for our dog, and they are very handy to have. On this 50' lead, he can run and exercise as we walk in the park, while still technically being on a lead. He can chase/retrieve toys and we still have him under control. Great for teaching basic recall commands. We like the different colors so we can have a designated lead for different uses . . . 'the blue 20' we use for playing in the mud; the orange 50' for on the grass in the park, etc., etc., etc.'.Yes, he's spoiled.

Broke after 2 weeks
My dog has never been left alone in the leash it is simply for control while he goes potty. Today the leash snapped. It has had no chewing or anything.

We loved it. Great durability
I bought this exact item once before (three years ago). We loved it. Great durability. Therefore, when ours started to show some wear, I went back and ordered the same one again. The quality of the new one is NOT at all in the same level as the product I bought over three years ago. The clip was different, the material thinner, stitching not as reinforced as the last one.We were disappointed that the quality of what use to be a great product had not been maintained.

Affordable light weight long lines for recall training.
Thisis the second long line I've purchased and they are fantastic. I have a 50 foot one also. I use them for recall training and when we go to the river to get the dogs to follow us in teh water and get used to it. They're light weight and they dogs hardly notice they are there which is prfect for training. This company will by #1 goto for lines for training, thangs for making them affordable!

Best I've used.
The fact that this is cloth instead of nylon makes a big difference in feel and performance. It is a bit wider than the other lead I purchased which is also an improvement. I have no trouble keeping it from tangling up when the one of my dogs decides to chase the one on the lead! I have a new rescue weighting 10 lbs and this weight is fine for her. The swivel bolt is sturdy but not too heavy. Very nice product. I highly recommend this lead.

Not for German Shepherd puppies
I have a similar 25ft leash that I use for recall training my 7 month German Shepherd. I bought this 15ft one thinking that it would be just as sturdy as the one that I bought from our trainer. I was wrong. I received this On Monday, it’s now Thursday of the same week and I’ve thrown it in the garbage. I was using it with my puppy (who in all fairness is 50lbs) and it did not hold up. She broke free and bolted after a squirrel. I’m thankful that I caught her and that she didn’t run into the street, but I would not recommend this for anything other than a tiny dog. This leash was barely used and clearly not strong enough for a big dog. The one positive is that it was not expensive and I don’t care that I’m out $8. I’m only leaving this review so that anyone with a German Shepherd or other strong, high energy dog, knows that this is NOT what you want.

Works Great. Got a Separate shoulder from being dumb.
Works great. Does what it says. Its a fantastic way to give your dog some space while still controlling their environment. Fantastic for recall training. Word of of advice though, don't play fetch with this leash if you have a big dog. I was an idiot and threw a ball and told my dog to go get it, my pitbull is a good boy and did what he was told. I wasn't paying attention to the generous coil of leash quickly disappearing in front of me until it was too late. In the millisecond before the leash went taut, my genius brain thought, "I had better start running or I'm going to get knocked onto my face". What I should have thought was...."let go". So my 60 pound pitbull and all of the glorious momentum he had gathered in 30 ft sent me flying through the air where I landed with an outstretched arm directly onto my shoulder which separated it. It was a very painful and frustrating couple of weeks. Leash was fine though. Very durable.

Great long line for attaching to a harness.
This harness at 15 ft is ideal to start long line training. Its not too long so as you get all tangled up and easy to put in a pocket if you don't have a rucksack with you. Remember that a long line must be attached to a harness and never the collar. Ideal for starting recall training, fetch and all manner of training skills.

The best for a small dog
I had difficulty in finding a light but sturdy training lead for my jack-chi and this is perfectThe clip is slightly on the large side but it makes it feel safe. She's been in the fields with this on an extending lead and it has never become tangled with her or itself. It's very soft and when I had it pulled in and she rapidly slid it through my hand it did hurt but only very slightly and there was no damage at all, even though I had no gloves. I have been 'burnt' badly when some leads have been pulled quickly through my hand.

Great for safe dog training
Superb for open terrain, on grass and hard standings. My dog is 7 months old and i purchased this to enhance working at ranges longer than the 10m line i already have.Great for peace of mind that your dog isn't just going to run off and not come back or worse run into traffic.Advised to get a stuff sack, if going to a public place and a short lead to and from where you are going to train.Highly recommended for those that want to give their dog freedom whilst remaining safe.I have the orange line, which i purposely chose so other members of the public can see it.

Excellent product, very happy
Love it. The only thing is it's not on a reel, but no problem.I bought a cable tidy for about £3. It's like a giant kite string reel.My puppy can run (a lot) and I have full control.
