Facinating
Wasn't too sure about this movie to start with, but once it got going it had me hooked, very enjoyable.

Interesting compared to the movie 'Orlando', the novel of which was inspired by V and V's relationship.

A visual masterpiece (with music to match)
You'll read plenty of criticism here and elsewhere of Chanya Button's masterful 'Vita & Virginia' – from the slow unfolding of its story to the inappropriateness of Isobel Waller-Bridge's inspired score. So how to respond? What to think? That's simple. Buy or rent this movie, clear two hours in your day, and immerse yourself. You will not, as has been suggested, feel you've wasted your time nor your money. How this film failed to garner the accolades it so obviously deserves is utterly beyond me. The 'slow' storytelling is entirely fitting for such a complex relationship between two of the most important literary women of the early 20th century. The 'modern' music, with its fusing of the electronic and the classical, lifts what could too easily have been presented as just another period drama. Add in the solid-gold portrayals of the two titular characters, and what you have in 'Vita & Virginia' is a truly contemporary take on biographical movie-making.As to this film's ending, look closely at the final scene, and cast your mind back to another similar scene, shot at night, earlier in the story. This brilliant echoing of that preceding – nay, pivotal – scene may well have you dabbing at your eyes.Watch this. Then after some time has passed, watch it again. A triumph!

Boring
This film tries very hard but doesn't quite hit the mark. Boring, drawn out & with no intensity, being a romantic relationship it had that potential to be exciting at least. The Queens English is very annoying, particularly that of Elisabeth Debicki, very over egged that at times you miss what she is saying. The scenery is great, the film score is a lovely contemporary contrast to the period piece and I liked the fantasy foliage growing about the place but not sure of the meaning though it gave an eerie feel. Disappointing.

Performances superb
Know this film wasn't universally liked by film critics etc; wonder if we were watching the same film sometimes. It was a fantastic film, the actresses playing the two lead roles were perfectly cast in my view, and the actress playing Virginia Wolf (understand she wasn't first choice by reading Wikipedia) was sublime..

Good but slow!
Good story although a little slow in places, good acting throughout butfails to convey the depth of feeling on the part of the main characters!

English subtitles please!
I`d liked film very much. English subtitles would have been nice. It would make it easier to follow.
