Works really well. Quite and cools extremely well. In a 450sq ft garage with no insulation in the walls. Cools it very well. Overkill if anything.

Its hard to say what you get for your money is that bad. It isn't. What is terrible is the ad itself. Unlike other mini splits I have purchased in the past (Ie..Sharkaire) this particular 12k btu unit 110 volt system wiring is a JOKE! The 110v wire or plug in DOES NOT EVEN COME WITH THE UNIT. THE INDOOR PART OF THE UNIT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE A PLACE TO WIRE THE 110 PLUG. THE 110-115V PLUG MAKES THE WHOLE UNIT HAVE ITS POWER!! SO WHAT THE HELL? THE DIRECTIONS ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. DOES NOT EVEN MENTION WHERE ONE WOULD WIRE THE PLUG INTO THE UNIT. THE DIRECTIONS SHOW A PICTURE OF A 110V PLUG IN AS OPTIONAL AND AGAIN DOES NOT SHOW IN THE DIRECTIONS WHATSOEVER AS TO WHERE THIS PLUG IN WOULD BE WIRED TO THE UNIT. THE WIRE HOLD DOWNS THAT ARE MARKED FOR THE WIRE THAT DOES COME WITH THE UNIT ARE A JOKE. WHEN SOMEONE ORDERS A SMALL 110 -115V 12K BTU UNIT THE MOTOR SHOULD ALREADY HAVE THE PLUG IN PART ALREADY WIRED TO THE INDOOR UNIT. EVERY OTHER MINI SPLIT I HAVE EVER ORDERED HAS THIS DONE! ESPECIALLY IF THE ELECTICAL PAPERWORK IS NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY DIRECTIONS TO GO WITH IT ON HOW YOU DO IT. SO STUPID AND MAKES THE INSTALL OF A DECENT UNIT OVERALL SO MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. FOR THIS REASON I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS UNIT TO ANYONE. MY PROFESSIONAL AC INSTALLER HAD TO USE WIRES OFF MY OLD UNIT SO HE COULD PERFORM THE INSTALL. HE SAID THEY HAVE MADE IT AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE TO WIRE THIS SYSYTEM. THE INSTALL OF THE UNIT ITSELF IS STRAIGHT FORWARD BUT THE TERRIBLE DIRECTIONS MAKE THIS A NO GO!!! I will never order another KLIMAIRE product again when there are so many other companies that have much MUCH easier wiring than this one. It cost me double for this install due to the poor electrical directions.

Shipped complete everything in good condition packed well.Installation instructions I think could have been better had some trouble understanding but eventually got it installed with some you tube help.You will need an ac pressure gauge and pump or know someone who has one.All in all very pleased so far no issues once installed and running fine time will tell.This was my first time installing something like this and would do it again.

This unit is quite large imo but it's able to cool my entire trailer in just minutes. Assembly really isn't that hard. The book doesn't mention it but the signal wires just need to match on the head unit and the condenser unit... 1 to 1 .. 2 to 2.. 3 to 3 and ground to ground. Also note that the disconnect box it comes with has no fuses in it which wasn't a problem for me since Lowe's is 5 minutes away. The entire system is extremely nice and works very well.

Update 8/24/23...a good thing has only gotten bettter! Now that the unit has experienced a full winter, spring, and some very hot summer months (including two 100 degree days), I wanted to update my review with how this unit performs in warmer weather. Let me just put it this way...it's 100 degrees out today, and the cabin feels like a meat locker, lol! It has absolutely no problem keeping up with the high temps we are having. This is a great unit & if I could give it more than 5 stars I surely would. I've been recommending these types of systems to friends...in many cases, the cost is not immensely more than a large window unit AC, but this cools better, also does a great job heating, and the electric consumption is very low. (Original review follows) Let me start by saying I am not an HVAC tech. But I bought this with the intent to install it myself & then let a licensed HVAC company do the final steps (vacuum lines, check for leaks, proper pressure, etc.). Never have I installed one & I am happy to report it is in & working! Took me about an afternoon to install excluding the time to install the electrical circuit. Would have taken less with a helper, but it's doable for just one person. So far it is heating very well...yesterday we had temps in the upper 20's with high winds, and it kept my wife's 300 square foot cabin (that has 7 windows) comfortable at 68 degrees. Spent some time in the cabin priming the walls today & although there was no wind today, it was still in the upper 20's, and the unit heated the cabin pretty quickly (around an hour from 46 degrees - the "freeze protection" temp - to 70 degrees). Very quiet system! Now I just have to wait for summer to return to see how the AC side of things work. All in all, a nice system, good value for the money.

It came with everything needed for installation. It was a little bulky and two extra hands helped a lot in getting it installed. Works great. Purchased to use in our shop that sits in the Florida sun and heat. Cools quickly and maintains temp. Very quiet. Great air flow.
