Had an EXTRA vent pipe in our new house, marked for future use. Condensation and a little snow dripping onto the basement floor. Want a removable plug .

Use these to block the openings of our pool pump’s detached salt filter during the off season to keep weather and critters out. They will replace the current ones depicted in the attached photo.

Probably not the typical use, but wanted a way to seal and unseal a drain on-demand but without removing the drain cover. So I attach the plug to the drain cover but keep the wing nut exposed so I can seal or unseal the drain at any time. For parts, just needed a drain cover with a vent design that has a center hole, a garden-hose rubber washer between plug and cover (to keep plug from rotating), and a metal wash above the vent to reduce stress on cover from the wing nut. Obviously this is not for high-flow situations.

These are perfect to block off the drains if a Hurriccane and possible flood is coming. We had a flood with Ian and the sewage backed up into the showers, as if the flood wasn't bas enough. These are perfect for the shower drain size.
