I received my heater on the 20th and it was in good condition and worked great. It kept the water temperature at a set 78degrees....BUT TODAY....only 6 days later, when I was doing my 50% water change, I came to find out that the glass had popped! Fortunately non of the glass had broken off while inside of the tank. Only once I removed it, did it finally fall apart. I a very disappointed that this happened and my husband and I do not understand why it happened. It was placed by the filter so that a constant flow of water would move pass it as recommended. So what would cause it to pop. In my opinion, it is really unsafe for aquariums.****UPDATE****Two days after posting my review I was contacted by the Mylivell seller though email to rectify the problem. I am highly satisfied with their costumer service and professionalism. They were very sincere and prompt in their replies. As of right now, I have the new heater in our 36gal. It has been six days since the setup of our new tank and the heater appears to be doing fine. Just as the previous heater did, this one is also keeping the water at the set temperature. My husband and I genuinely hope that the popping of the glass tube on the previous heater was just an isolated event and will not happen again. But If another issue should occur I will be sure to post an update.1/17/20

Got this (100 watt- overkill I know.) for my 5 gallon betta tank. I'm planning on moving it to my 30 gallon now that I know it works consistantly. I was afraid after reading the reviews, but I've had it over 2 weeks and it has stayed at the temp I set it at without any spikes or troubles.

The heater I recieved was terrible. It did not work properly. It didn't heat my tank. It began making a whistling and hissing sound, so I unplugged it. I learned, thanks to many other who have asked what that could mean different in fish hobbyists communitys, that the heater will go out possible combusting.. killing your fish and maybe setting your place on fire.I returned it, got my refund, and picked up a Tetra HT30 from Petsmart which has been working lovely!!! It keeps the water at a consistent temperature just right for my fishes. FYI a petsmart employee let me know that the heaters are cheaper on Chewy and that Petsmart Price Matches!!! So I only paid $12 for a $27 heater :)

Straight out of the box, the heater looks nice, nicer than I had expected for $13. It shows the coiling inside of the heater which gives a cool industrial appearance.That’s as far as I got though.The glass feels thin when holding it, a bit thicker than a light bulb but not a lot, at least not compare to other heaters that I’ve had. Anyways, as I was setting it up in the tank, I set it down too quickly and it cracked in half leaving shards of glass in the carpet. Thankfully it wasn’t in the tank when it broke as I can’t imagine replacing all the gravel in a 75 gallon tank on Christmas Eve..Either way, if you’re willing to risk it, it looks cool and has decent instructions

Works great ...easy to use, the directions are self explanatory. The knob for temp control is a little stiff other than that, this heater is doing its job around the clock. I would buy again if needed.

I own a 55-gallon fish tank that I have own for many years. I had a heater that started to not operate correctly and needed to be replaced. I had to unplug the heater to prevent danger to my fish. I research various tank heaters and noticed the Mylivell Aquarium Heater Submersible Auto Thermostat Heater. I was NOT completely sold on this unit but decided to buy it. It arrived and I replaced the old heater. I turn it on and closely watched its operation over several days. It truly works as described and now I have NO worries about the water temperature. I HIGHLY recommend this item.

The heater works. It heats up my tank. However, I put the temperature up to 86 but my thermometer reads only 74. So I really do not want to increase the temperature anymore to the point that my fish will start to boil.

Had the heater for about a week and so far it works great, I love the visual dial so it can be precisely set to the temperature you need.
