This is the wheel cleaner - hands down
27+ years of detailing and trying many wheel cleaners - this stuff is fantastic. Powers through brake dust and grime especially on Porsche brake calipers that have turned black from heavy use. Red, yellow, etc... colors shine though like brand new after a few minutes soaking in Sonax.Forget the other cleaners on the market and just buy this. Life is too short to spend time locating a great wheel cleaner, I already did 2 decades of research for you.

Worth it in my book.
Pricey, but works really well. I used some on my GF’s Mini Cooper (she calls it Bradley) wheels that I had previously cleaned with another cleaner that didn’t get the baked on dust off. This stuff got most of the baked on dust off after using a bristle brush, and should get the rest off with another application. I recommend to anyone with stubborn brake dust on there wheels, and anyone cleaning there wheels who wants to use “the good stuff”

This product really does work.
This is a great product that actually does work and I have tried them all over the years and yes I was skeptical of this one as well. As I applied it to my wheels, as per instructions , I knew this was the one that would finally work.

Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus
After doing tons of research I decided to get this wheel cleaner. As soon as you start to spray, it begins to agitate the chemicals in your rims and tires. This stuff is potent and works pretty good. I used a glove Mitt to agitate the rims as it isn't a non-agitated wheel cleaner. You must do a bit of swiping or light scrubbing to dig deep. The chemical will cause some chemical burn if you use a rim glove to use for agitation. So be careful on that, a bit pricey for as much as I thought it would do on it's own. Overall a great product but there may be something just as good with a lesser price.

Always searching for a wheel cleaner that doesn’t require a lot of manual cleaning with a brush. Well here it is! I have now used an entire bottle and this stuff is great! I just spray it on generously to dry rims, let it sit about 3-5 minutes until it changes to a red color then it’s ready to be rinsed off. I use a regular garden hose nozzle and this cleans them great. I do dry then after with a microfiber cloth. I have a Honda Civic SI. I do clean them pretty regularly (1x every week or two depending on weather) so this isn’t going to be that easy for someone who cleans their car twice a year.
