Worth the price
These last about 6-8 months in my cats water fountain. I keep a back up one for when it breaks because it will. Definitely worth the money.

No red low water alert light
I got this to replace the pump that went out in the cars water fountain. It works well but there is no red light to flash if the water gets low. I try to keep it full but now and then it will get low and this one doesn’t flash red to alert you like the stick one did

Great for pet water bowls
These can make any water bowl a fountain for pets. I like to keep an extra one of these on hand as I need to replace it every couple years. They’re a good value for the price and quality. They eventually burn out but it takes a while. For ten bucks, I can’t complain. Dogs love the constantly moving water and they’re cheap enough to keep a small stockpile.

Won’t last long!
I just bought this pump earlier this year and I’m having to order it again. I ordered several in 2020 also. It just stops working after a while. You do have to keep the water fountain very clean of particles. The plastic around the plug gets flimsy after a short amount of time.

Here's how to make it last
The media could not be loaded. I first bought this pump a year and a half ago, the first pump lasted 3 months, the second three weeks, and the last one over a year now. If you leave it on all day it will burn out fast. FIRST- Buy a timer and have it shut off for a few hours overnight while the pets are sleeping. I turn mine off for 6 hours a night. SECOND- A little trick my toddler discovered. . . place a strong magnet on the side of the pump if it stops working after being turned off for the night. We have those childproofing magnetic locks and that's what worked. Hope this helps!

Very quiet pump
You have to make sure you are cleaning the pump itself weekly. Make sure to take it completely apart. There is a magnetic piece inside that has the propeller attached to it that pulls the water through it. It will get hard water deposits if you're just using tap water. I went out of town for a few weeks and forgot to tell my husband to clean the pump. It stopped working due to mineral deposits and he threw it away and just ordered a new pump lol.Just take the whole pump apart. Clean with soap and water to get any dirt or pet hair out of the screen of the outside of the pump. Once you have it completely taken apart, just let it soak in straight white vinegar for an hour or so, unless it's really bad. I usually let it soak for a couple of hours, however we do have two water fountains for our pets. So I just clean one at a time. If you keep it clean it should last a while. It's very quiet as long as you keep the water level up. If it gets too low, it will get a little bit louder. Also remember if the water level gets way too low where the pump is unable to pump water, the pump will eventually burn out and stop working. Then for sure you will have to replace it.
