I've been using this shampoo for about 6 months now and I believe that it has helped me hold on to more of my hair as it starts to thin as I get older. The only thing I want to warn people about is the way Amazon seems to deliver this product because it will usually come in a box that is far larger than the actual product with no real packing inside of it so the bottle just rolls and gets tossed around inside. The last bottle I received had been twisted loose and the entire inside of the box and bottle had shampoo residue all over it and with this stuff being 125 bucks a bottle, you obviously don't want that. If this happens again I may try buying directly from the manufacturer if the price is about the same.

My story:Till I went to get a haircut and my barber professionally gave me advice on thinking about getting something for my hair, as he noticed it was thinning. I’m in my early 20s and that’s something that I don’t want to hear. He recommended me Actiive. Told me all about and I was skeptical because it’s a 100$ shampoo and yet I can buy one from my local grocery for way less than that….you can only take care of your hair for so much, until you have surgery root implants….My review:This product does what it says it does. I definitely recommend getting the conditioner too. The smell is unique and definitely manly. You will love washing your hair with confidence once you start seeing results. IT DOES TAKE TIME TO SEE RESULTS. Be patient and you will notice. Definitely recommend for any man.

I've used this for one full year, so I have to say this is a fair evaluation of the product. It did not promote growth of new hair, however, it did seem to make my hair grow a little faster. Sure, it smelled nice and made my hair look good, but my normal shampoo did the same thing. I have also noticed lately that my hair is getting thinner on top of my scalp, so I don't believe this promotes hair retention either, at least for me.

My hair dresser recommended it. She said it work for many of her clients.

This product arrived as the picture shows: no box, it wasn't screwed into the base of the lid, and no protection or bag - just this in a box. The shampoo itself is an opaque creamy smooth consistency, but the problem is that it carries no significant odor except that of moisturizing bar soap. I've used tea tree products all my life as well as exposure to lavender regularly. This smells like neither. Did someone at Amazon replace the real thing with a equal volume of dove soap priced at 5-10 dollars? That's what I want to know.It's only day 1 for me so too early to tell if it works but I can update this review over time.Update 1: (2 weeks)- ordered one more from Amazon and it appears to be the same so I presume it's the right product. Have been using it as instructed. So far no significant changes I can see but its early. Willing to try this as long as a couple months and we will see where we get.

I was very skeptical when my barber mentioned this to me. I had said to her that I noticed that in pictures I was often seeing a thinning spot in my hair (I have dark black hair so the scalp showing through created a light spot). After using this for about 3 months, using it every other day and using a timer to be sure I left it in t for 5 min...... the light spot wasn't showing up any more in photos - and I looked for it especially after I got my hair cut - when my hair was the shortest and it wasnt there. Now I stopped using for about 3 months and the thinning spot started to return.... so this doesn't seem to permanently reverse the situation but it does help. But I am buying it again.
