Its a gift he like the smell last all day

I may have lived under a rock for the last 5 years or so but I hadn't really heard very much about this scent before I blind bought it. The very first time I sprayed it I was less than impressed. It may have been a perfumers alcohol blast but regardless, I put it away and forgot about it. A couple of weeks later I tried it again. The opening was a lot more pleasant than I remembered but DAMN that dry down is amazing. It's soft, and creamy and beautifully powdery but it also has this gorgeous pipe tobacco accord that takes me back to my Grandfather's study and his collection of pipes, his large jar of tobacco and the beautiful painting that hung above his fireplace.The downside to this scent, and there is one, would be projection. On my skin; within the first hour I get light to moderate projection, after which, it becomes a skin scent. Spray this on cloth and it lasts 24 hours BUT again any projection is very close.The price point for this fragrance is absolutely superb. I just hope that the next time D&G make a flanker they do something about the horrible projection.

Bought as a gift for Christmas when availability very scarce. Was a good price and delivery was prompt. Well packaged.

Edit: I originally left a 3 star review but it has really grown on me! It doesn't smell that similar to the original but it's really nice and has a very distinctive beginning, middle, end (I'm no expert I forget what the proper names are 😆). It starts off really fresh and I would say quite spicy, then by the dry down (I remembered one!) it's more of a musky, smoky scent.One reason I upped my rating is the longevity is insane. I did one spray on the back of my hand to test it first thing in the morning, 16 hours later you could still smell it clearly! I have a few other EDPs but none of them last anywhere near as long as this one!
