Doesn't leave white cast, doesn't pill, doesn't sting eyes, and less toxic than most!
I am so psyched about this sunscreen! I had been looking for a non-toxic, effective sunscreen that doesn't sting my eyes, leave a white cast or pill. This one is rated a 3 by EWG, which is still higher than I'd like, but way better than most of the alternatives that are out there. It looks like the EWG's biggest concern on it was allergies/immunotoxicity, but I've been using it for 2 days now and I haven't had any allergy issues.I am also happy to report that my eyes don't hurt at all (and I'm not avoiding my eye area--I put it right on my eyelids and under my eyes). It applies whiteish but the white cast goes away very quickly, and IT DOES NOT PILL!!!! Even though I put my Honest Hydrogel Cream on right before it! This and the Andalou Naturals tinted sunscreen are the only decently-rated (on EWG) sunscreens I've tried that do not pill!! (I'm not sure how effective the Andalou Naturals one is as a sunscreen, though, which is why I was looking for something new). Highly recommend!

Our new go-to sunscreen
Awesome sunscreen. I love everything about this including the big size. The white cast is minimal and it's really easy to rub in. It goes on very smooth but it's not runny. My kids can easily apply this to themselves. We haven't really put it to the test after a day of water play, but it works great in just the sun. Smells fine/normal.

Our Family Favorite – Truly Works!
We’ve been using Blue Lizard sunscreen for over 2 years now, and it’s been amazing for our whole family. I originally started using it for my daughters, especially one who has very fair skin, and it’s held up incredibly well—even in the South Georgia sun and on week-long beach trips. Now my husband and I use it too. It goes on well, protects all day, and we’ve never had any issues with burns. We absolutely love and trust this sunscreen—definitely a must-have in our beach bag.

Temporary Sunburn Look
This sunscreen works great on my skin as it doesn’t irritate it and leaves me very protected from the sun. My only complaint is that when I put it on, it immediately makes my skin look red like I have already been sunburnt. Maybe it’s just the tint of my skin, but as soon as I take it off, back to looking tan. Everyone stops me all concerned that I may have the worst sunburn ever when I am wearing it when I don’t. Luckily it’s only temporary and actually doing its job to protect me from the actual sunburn.

Mineral sunscreen my family will put on
I prefer mineral sunscreen ingredients, but hate putting on mineral sunscreen. I'm also allergic to coconut so many natural brands are a no-go for me. I don't love the ingredient list on this one, but, it's easy to apply, everyone puts it on their faces regularly and doesn't get burnt when they do, so it's a win. If you rub it in well, the white cast is limited (but we are also all white with some moderately tan family members). Note we use a mineral spray option for bodies.

Lightweight and Non-Irritating
’ve been using Blue Lizard Sensitive Sunscreen for a while now and really like it. It goes on smoothly without feeling greasy or heavy, which is a big plus for me since I have sensitive skin. It doesn’t irritate or cause any breakouts, and it provides good sun protection without the strong chemical smell some sunscreens have. I also appreciate that it’s mineral-based, so I feel better about what I’m putting on my skin. It’s perfect for everyday use, especially if you’re prone to redness or irritation with other sunscreens.

The reviews didn’t lie. I usually burn bad, like full on tomato mode. It’s one of the reasons I avoid the pool or beach, because no matter how much sunscreen I use, it never works. So for this beach vacation, I did my research, found this one, and gave it a shot. Now that the trip’s over, I can proudly say I’m the only one who didn’t get burnt. My whole family used some other sunscreen they swear by (even though it clearly doesn’t work), and yup—they all got burnt. Meanwhile, I’m out here looking better than ever. I have really dry, sensitive skin and this stuff worked WONDERS for me.Before this sunscreen, just a few weeks ago, I chilled outside in my pool for 30 minutes and started turning pink immediately. So I took my butt back inside. On vacation, I reapplied every 2–3 hours or so. I didn’t need a lot either—a little goes a long way.💔The ONLY downside? It’s not the product, but the packaging. The bottle gets super messy and leaks around the inside of the cap. Mine hasn’t exploded like some reviews mentioned, but I totally see how it could.

Stands up to getting wet but leaves a film
While I gave it a 4 star rating, my feelings on it are really mixed. It definitely left a white film that took a lot of rubbing and almost 20 minutes to disappear. I got some on my clothes and it took two washings to get it out. That being said it appears to stand up well to getting wet. I've had skin cancer so avoid the sun but also try to use sunscreen all the time. Since I am not in the sun enough to burn I can't give a solid opinion on how effective it is. This seems to be overkill for my needs
