Although I’ve yet to install the carburetor, however, it arrived on time and looks like for like with the one in the machine now. As I did this same exchange a few years back the installation can be done in approximately 1 hour. Tight space to work in with your hands but doable.

After having numerous issues with the carburetor on my friends atv, poor idle, gummed up, finally just leaking gas , I found this and it's a direct fit .

I have owned my quad since it was new the original carb does not like to sit for extended periods of time especially with modern fuels containing ethanol. My original carb has been rebuilt a couple times in a effort to keep the quad running and reliable out on the trails. The last time the carb was rebuilt the results were less than stellar the engine seamed to bog down when you really needed full power to climb the steep hills. I was planning on installing yet another rebuild kit on the quad in an effort to have it ready to play in the snow this year and stumbled upon this aftermarket carb the price is about the same as the rebuild kit so I figured might as well give it a try if it doesn't work I can take the jets out of it and swap them over to my factory carb. after installing the carb onto the 2005 Yamaha Kodiak 450 it started right up with hardly a touch of the starter button. A small adjustment to the idle screw and we were off and running. The quad had been sitting for about 4 years prior to this install, can't say how happy I am to have the quad back up and running. My only complaint the plastic nipple that screws into the side of the carb and actuates the choke plunger is a bit on the chincy side the thread engagement was not great but it did tighten down. Some extra zip ties were added to help support the choke cable which should aleviate any problems. Really happy overall with this product and it's performance 12-15-17

I usually don't write reviews often but I was blown away by this carb for the price. most Chinese carbs as you all know I'm sure are sketchy and usually have failing overflows poorly jetted and machined terribly. This carb Is amazing as my old one was rebuilt but still had a horrible studder over 1/4 throttle. I adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw installed and adjusted idle and it runs like a dream. It's practically plug and play no leaking overflow I'll come back and speak on longevity very impressed 👍 so far.

Carburetor was easy to install and fixed my lean burning issues. Yamaha Kodiak 450 runs great!! I would definitely buy again if needed. I rebuilt my original carburetor 2 years ago and this was so much easier and with a few small adjustments it was ready to go!

Was a direct replacement, and works flawless, just have to adjust the idle and go ! Everyone who has a leaky or shuddering carb , with less power will benefit from this ! Showed a buddy , and he bought one for his wheeler also , problem solved .

It was the same as oem

Quad just doesn't run at all, compared to the original Mikuni carb. Unfortunately my idle screw broke off so I had to replace it. This one is cheap as they get. If I nake it run by a miracle, it runs very poor and wants to die when given gas. This is not jeted right for Kodiak 450. Save your money

Received the carburetor before date promised, however the carb. was defective ... the float bowl drain screw had been cross-threaded into the float bowl and it was impossible to remove the screw without either breaking it or stripping the head of the screw. Perhaps should have paid more heed to other reviews and spent the extra money on an OEM part. We will see how the seller handles the return request ...

Looks good doesn’t run well. Ended up using it for parts. Wouldn’t keep running when quad was bouncing.

The carb arrived within a short time and was relatively easy to install. Great to get rid of the leaky old carb! The engine fired up and ran beautifully. Included in the box was an inline fuel filter which was a nice bonus however I then had to go to the local parts store to get hose clamps which was a bit annoying.

this carb fit my 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 450 perfectly - it runs like a charm!
