Merriam-Webster's Dictionary and Thesaurus, Newest Edition, Trade Paperback

My husband is very happy with this dictionary/thesaurus. He is finding it extremely helpful, as he has no access to the internet and limited phone access. He has expanded his vocabulary so much and he enjoys learning from this little book!

Excellent resource for students and teachers. A must have if you want to teach a balanced approach between online dictionaries and hard copies.

Merriam-Webster is what my publisher requires so that's a plus for me. Also, all in one. I don't have to flip between two books, that's another plus. It's lightweight compared to the two hardbacks I've owed, that's another plus; also the thesaurus entries are conveniently listed under each word, and is accessible even when the lights go out (which happens here often). Having a pair of reading glasses or a magnifying glass or both used together - is the caveat. For the amount of information packed into one book, this gets a FIVE star!

I can't take a photo right now but it's got what it needs. I bought the market paper, which is cheap and works well. The only problem is that the text will smear at times, but that's to be expected with the cheap market paper.

Sure we all have phones and easy access to the web but it's nice to have a dictionary on hand sometimes and this one does the job.

We homeschool and my kids needed to learn about using this even though we have technology.

My husband bought this for himself. He has a traumatic brain injury so I’m thinking he’ll try to make good use of the book.

I recently decided to begin reading again, however it has been years since schooling, and while my vocabulary is decent it is nowhere near spectacular. This is a perfect companion for reading books and truly learning some of the words you pass by. Being able to flip around and read on paper is a game changer. I'm 25 pages into crime and punishment and this has helped me tens of times already. I highly recommend this if you want to expand your vocab or understand every word you’re reading.

The book is quite thick. But it is good quality.

Si lees mucho en inglés con el Kindle es recomendable complementar este diccionario con el Collins English porque algunas palabras que no aparecen en uno si aparecen en el otro. Este tiene la ventaja de que los sinónimos y ciertas referencias son magníficas a la hora de alcanzar una correcta comprensión.El Collins sin embargo da explicaciones algo más elaboradas y tiene un rango de palabras bastante más elevado.

Received a very good and brand new book from cocoblu Retail. It's a very essential book. It's very useful for learner's , students and those who loves English language. It gives definitions, examples, pronunciations for all words, synonyms, antonyms, irregular verb forms etc. Pronunciation is given for all three forms of irregular verbs (present, past and past participle. For example; Show - Showed - Shown. Pronunciation is given for these three). Letters are legible / not too big or not so small. Papers and printing are very good. Hardcover book is the best. Mass Market paper back books are low-cost but letters are too small to read. I have both. I recommend Hardcover.

Good dictionary it is American but highlights English spelling. Bought for present they were very pleased with it.
