Archer 1A V3 CW almost hits the bullseye
The Archer 1A V3 (1x AA ) has cool white tint that has an off color undesirable green cast. It is not as pleasing as the Archer 2A V3 which has a truly magnificent daylight at noon CW tint. When compared to the Lumintop Tool AA, it is again very obvious that the green tint is prominent and objectionable. It has a well balanced beam pattern with mostly even but feathered illumination from the hot spot to the edges and adequate throw. There are some halo rings. Like the Archer 2A V3, the construction fit and finish of the ARCHER 1A V3 is on the same level of lights that cost twice or more the price. The hard adonized finish is 5 stars. The tail cap switch is tactile, precise and easy to articulate. The stainless steel mode switch is easy to access, slightly raised and most likely will not be accidently depressed while handling. The user interface has mode memory and is common sense no nonsense without any hard to remember irritating issues. The mode / level spacing is well designed, functional and practical.I believe this is a good option among the value priced 1 x AA lights currently available.I honestly could not find much to gripe about except for the less than stellar tint. I do wish the lens portion of the head would unscrew to allow access to insert a red or colored lens if desired. Give this light the same tint profile as its bigger brother 2A V3, it would be far more favorable. Over all I'll give this light a thumbs up, I do like and appreciate it. I give the Archer 1A V3 CW a solid **** 3+ of 5 stars.

Great but...
I bought one of these originally back in 2017 and for the price was impressed with the quality of construction and brightness gave by the light for the single AA battery. If you use it a-lot your gonna be replacing batteries a lot, it chews through them. My old one had an unfortunate accident involving the underside of a car. Just got the new one and it does seem like quality control has gone down some. The overall fit and finish is all still good but the tactile side button isn't clean and crisp. The one I ran over is still a nice clean and crisp click just doesn't work but the new one has a ton of slop and is very mushy. Additionally in trying to click the side button it doesn't always work.

This flashlight is awesome. It's small enough to fit in your hand, but not so small that it feels cheap or fragile. It's light so you won't feel like you have a roll of quarters banging around in your pocket. Feels very well built, the knurling is cut well so you get a good grip on the flashlight, pocket clip is very sturdy and removeable. It's super easy to operate, use the tail switch to turn light on and off, and use the side switch to scroll through the four brightness levels and strobe. Lowest level, firefly, I've found useful in the house if you don't want to wake some people up turning light switches on and off. I normally use this flashlight in the 3rd brightest setting, I'm a mechanic and that's all the amount of light i need to get my inspections done at work. I've dropped this thing, gotten it soaking wet, and it still works. Even if it does break, not a big deal, its not an expensive flashlight. Another little trick I've found, wrap the tail switch with some electrical tape and you can put the light in your mouth and bite down on the tape to make your hands free for a couple minutes of work. This flashlight doesn't tail stand well, you really need to mess with it to balance it perfectly. You'd have the best luck tailstanding this light when its brand new and not all banged up after normal use. Oh another great thing I love about this flashlight is that it runs off 1 AA battery, which is, in my opinion the most common battery size. All in all this light is a great value, its rugged, reliable, bright, and compact, what more could you ask for out of a $28 light.

Didn't last long.
Bright while it worked but it died a few days after the warranty ended...almost like they designed it to only last a certain timeframe.

Solid flashlight
I've bought a lot of compact AA flashlights before. This one is a good buy for someone with bigger hands. If you're looking for a very small and portable, this one is probably a pass as it's a bit larger. However, it's still relatively small and really nicely built. I really like the two button system that they use (back click for on/off; side click for light mode), and I'm thrilled with the firefly mode that they have as well as the fact that it 1) has last setting memory and 2) cycles from low to high (my preference). I wish this came with a diffuser as my old Thrunite model did, but overall, I think it's a good flashlight. For me, I still prefer many other flashlights more, so it gets a 4 star instead of 5. If I didn't have so many other flashlights to compare against, I'd probably have given it a 5 star though.

Best AA flashlight on the market!
This is the best two AA flashlight on the market. It has the best lumen output levels of any other two AA lights. It actually has the same lumen outputs as the archer 1A, but double the runtimes. The firefly mode is awesome for around the house or tent when it's really dark and you don't want to wake anyone. The low and medium levels are perfect for around the campsite or going on a hike. I like the side switch to change the outputs. I also like how you don't have to go through any useless modes like strobe or SOS when going through all the modes. This flashlight is all businesses and no gimmicky crap.Overall the build quality is great. The switches feel durable and the knurling gives it a quality feel. The beam is more floody than most. I've attached a photo of it compared to a AA Maglite. The Maglite is on the bottom. I like the floodier beam on this light and it is perfect for hikes and camping. The runtimes listed for this flashlight are pretty accurate also which is not the case for most flashlights. Thrunite is also a great company that stands behind it's products. The only thing I don't like this flashlight is the tail clip. It attaches in the middle or near the head of the flashlight and I'd never carry it that way. Other than that this flashlight is awesome. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a two AA flashlight.

Excellent illumination, size and quality.
This is my daily flashlight. It's small enough, quite durable, multiple light modes and at its brightest, I have no issues seeing pitch black conditions.Another thing I find important when making online purchases is 'Customer Service'. Thrunite has excellent customer service. They want to make things right, and go above. Will recommend and will buy again.
