Super Light Weight
Paired up with a shimano vanford 5000 super feather light. It’s lighter than my sustain 3000 with a 9footer.

Remember This is a 10'6" Rod!
This isn't a finesse style of rod. The long length is good for those long drifts in fast moving currents. Also in "lobbing" baits great distances. You will loose a little accuracy in these longer rods so you must align your body for direction. I myself have noticed the 9'9" lengths is my top end length for maintaining sensitivity & casting accuracy. Also because of the length the rod will be a little thicker thus adding to its weight. Lastly choose a self-setting hook style because of the longer length. I tend to go braid & fluoro over mono when using longer rods. Why? Mono stretches meaning you might have to really tug hard to get a solid hook-up. Braid & fluoro doesn't stretch so the fish will usually do this for you.
