I was dubious about buying this based on some of the reviews but it was absolutely perfect for our camping trip. I used it to carry x3 duvets, multiple blankets and coats. The metal hooks fitted on the rim of my car within the door frame rather than under the rubber seal and still held on fine as the door then closed over them. I was somewhat nervous so added a ratchet strap across the middle in through the car but I don't think it was completely necessary - more peace of mind. In terms of being water resistant, it was torrential rain driving home and it was left on the roof of the car overnight with the contents in. The next day all blankets came out bone dry so definitely waterproof, you just need to make sure you fold the flap down back over the zip. Will be using again for all future trips to save space in the car.

Used this for a holiday on the south Coast round trip of just over 500 miles and through torrential rain and not once did it leak or move about with the heavy winds but I did buy the slip mat aswell. If you don't want the expense of a roof box which requires a roof rack then I would highly recommend this as the amount of storage is great and held all what we required and still had room.

Before buying, check if you can remove seal for hooks installation. Most modern cars seals are blued to the bodywork. My VW does have it and I was unable to mount it to the vehicle. I had to buy extra fixing which add £15 in top of the price!!!

I would definitely recommend this product, 100% water proof. Easy to put on the car and pack away when you have finished with it.

Easy to set up and plenty of storage space. Did a 600 mile trip around Scotland and no issues with the roof bag. Used an additional strap (bought separately) across the middle of the bag for extra sturdiness. Haven’t yet tried it in heavy rain, but seems a good buy.

Worked a treat. Just make sure straps are tight to stop any vibrating and an annoying noise. I wrapped the excess length around the straps once tight and this worked.

Great item. Used for camping trip 300+ mile round trip and didnt move once. Fastening were great. Rained on return trip and everything stayed dry.. can't recommend this Highly enough. Great price. Would suggest you place softest items along the bottom (we used floor mats) as this is closest to car roof.. plenty of room, we got a tonne of stuff in. With weight in mind.. Only gave 5 stars because there wasnt 10 to choose.

It's a roof bag, it is very handy to have, easy to use. We used it for our camping trip, plenty of room. It didn't rain when we used it so can not comment on its water resistance, however with the velcro sealed flap to cover the zip I believe it will be very good in the rain. It appears to be well made and looks like it will last a while.
