YAMAHAPacifica Electric Guitar PA112VUBL

Not just another Strat copy
Although clearly inspired by the Fender Stratocaster, this isn't a Strat copy: it's a Yamaha Pacifica. The body shape is slightly different, the socket is on the edge rather than the side and the back pick-up works a single-coil with the tone control pushed in, or a humbucker with it pulled out (giving a slightly warmer tone). The action is set low, which makes it easy to play. I get a bit of fret buzz, but that's most likely due to my inexpert playing technique. In any case, I can always raise the action slightly with one of the little allen keys that come with the guitar. My reason for buying this brand and model were that I was very impressed with the price-quality ratio of a Yamaha acoustic guitar I bought recently, and I loved the natural wood look of this particular model. The first one I received had a crackly tone control and very slight damage to the body. There was no problem getting a replacement from the supplier, but it suggests that the quality control where these are made isn't tip-top. Otherwise I'd have given five stars. It's an excellent guitar for the price.

Wrongly advertised by amazon.
Bought this guitar because amazon said it came with a bundle. Guitar stand, case, strap, spare strings, video, etc etc. When it arrived it was just the guitar and no bundle.Contacted the seller, Chamberlain music. They couldn’t have been more helpful. The person I spoke to apologised and explained that amazon had put the wrong description on the item.Rather than leave me to deal with it myself, they sorted everything out for me and even arranged a gift card from amazon for my troubles.Absolutely fantastic service from Chamberlain music and will buy direct from them in future as and when the need arises. The guitar itself looks and plays brilliantly and needed no setting up whatsoever.Couldn’t be happier with my purchase or with Chamberlain music. Brilliant service.

great buy
the guitar arrived before the due date ,which was excellant, well packaged ,the guitar plays great, picups work really well ,my only fault with it is that the fret bars could be smoother, but this is me just being picky, i would recommend this guitar great buy.

Absolutely brilliant guitar
After many, many years of getting by with bottom-of-the-range guitars I can now afford to go upmarket a little bit. The difference in quality is absolutely amazing. If you have played sub-£100 guitars, save up for one of these and instantly make yourself sound ten times better. They come in all colours, but the natural finish is especially cool.

Execellent guitar for the price
Very nice guitar. Very well made. Feels as nice as the genuine Fender Strat I used to own many years ago, but of course costs much less. I can see why this guitar is so highly rated on the web. An excellent beginner to intermediate instrument.

Sail away with great tone :)
A great guitar, very good build quality, good wood (North American Alder) good sounding pickups and very versatile... There are a few issues however with this guitar; which you may wish to consider. The pots on the guitar seem to be lacking, I had to get mine replaced by my local music shop PMT, which they did for free (as I bought it from them and not on Amazon) it seems to be a design fault as the other 112v's all had the same issue but once you get that sorted, it plays like a Fender strat for half the price, very nice indeed!
