After I got this my cats gave stop scratching the sofa.

Looks OK, well finished, so not exactly an eyesore, but--wait for it--the cat will have nothing to do with it. You can try all your enticements, be as inventive as you can to get the cat interested, but basically you'll hit a blank wall. Do you have a nice expensive sofa, or costly padded dining chairs? The cat will much prefer that. Your sofas and your chairs will be reduced to shreds and even then I don't think the cat will go anywhere near this thing. Oh, but that's only my cat, you say? (You'll notice I gave the product 4 stars as it's not to blame if the cat has no interest in it.) Well, in the desperation to save your sofas you may go in for this thing, but rest assured your cat will not touch it.

I needed a quick solution to entertain my unsettled cat and direct her need to scratch from the new couch to something else... This pole was perfect! She quickly adapted and the pendant is a nice bonus! Overall a good price and the style fits perfectly in the house's style of decoration.

Poor quality

When I received this item, it was dirty and damaged, and it smelled really bad. Some parts was glued together and it came apart. Definitely bad quality! I wouldn’t recommend it.

My kitten is not interested in using this as a scratch post. He is just playing with the toy. The post is quite light, so it keeps falling down
