I wasn’t impressed with the material these trousers are made of at first, being used to more ‘natural’ feeling fabrics. Then I spilt some red wine on them, which wiped off with a damp cloth and no trace whatsoever. These are trousers born of some kind of witchcraft! Tough, we’ll made and comfortable. What’s not to like

As ever, another quality item from Carhartt. This pair was to replace a pair that had lasted 16 years.The workmanship is the same, great fit and very comfortable.

Excellent quality trouser

Heavy polycotton trouser that look just great. The sizing was like my usual trousers - no problem there. The legs are roomy enough for movement without being baggy. HOWEVER, unless you have a rather small backside, you will find that as soon as you bend the trousers pull down at the back. Carhartt says they "sit below the waist". They're actually cut straight across at the waist, whereas most trousers are cut higher at the back than the front of the waist (to allow for the wearer's backside). They're OK for sitting and standing, but they're not really for a full range of activities. I think the clue is in the Carhartt description - good for climbing into the cab. Maybe they're designed to sit under the spare tyre at the back (of the truck presumably). I found them too uncomfortable, and had to send them back. Loved the trousers, couldn't get on with the fit. Hugely disappointing.
