These floats work on fly rods
The floats were received promptly. They are easy to attach to a fly rod, stay in place, do not interfere with casting, and are able to suspend a rod and reel in the water (at least for my 6 wt system), though I am not sure what would happen with a big fish attached. They provide some inexpensive peace of mind.

Maybe they'll work on a short, light rod.
Fell apart easily, caught the fishing line often. Won't support a baitcaster.
