MRW-125 Super Gainer Antenna - Designed for use with UBC-125XLT

Recently used at RIAT and this antenna gave me reception from London radar and Brize Norton

I wouldn’t say this was a super gain antenna didn’t make much dif to the smaller one that came with radio

Extends the range on my Uniden Scanner

I bought this one for Airband but when it arrived I was shocked how long it was.Way too long for Airband which requires a certain length antenna.Reception was slightly poorer than my stand antennas so I unfortunately returned it back.

I bought this antenna to replace the original rubber duck as I had heard that the supplied antenna was deaf. Well that's an understatement. This antenna transforms the Uniden receiver and particularly when listening to AM transmissions where signal strength translates more directly into audio quality. I even manage to receive a squeak of weather satellites with it. Aircraft come in really well. Local PMR stations can also be heard.The antenna is not overly large and it is useable as a portable antenna without looking like a nerd.The build quality is excellent and I expect to get years of service from it.

the aerial was nt as good as i thought it would be as it did nt pick hardly any transmissions on my scanner,and also my cheap telescopic aerial picked up more than this aerial i dont know if its the area i live in or what could be wrong with it so i was disappointed when i started using it and went back to my old aerial
