The God Who Is So Much More!
What an encouragement to read the true story of Sid Roth, a Messianic Jew, who was transformed by the power of Messiah. He tells of the tragic lifestyle of self-centeredness, selfishness, and sin, one that nearly destroyed his marriage and his life. Wrongly, he had entered into a class about mind control and was ardently pursuing the occult. Later on, through the help of some Christian believers who confront his practices he turns to the Lord for help and salvation. He becomes a follower of Messiah boldly proclaiming the love of his Jewish Savior. It was beautiful to read about God saving his whole family, these words are from his own mother. "And one day my mother said to me, 'Sidney, I no longer believe in Jesus because of your faith. I believe in Jesus as my Messiah because I believe.'"Dr. Michael Brown's question and answer section at the end of the book was very helpful. One of his many topics, discussing who is right? His answer, "From one book, the Hebrew Scriptures, have come two faiths. One faith says: We'd rather die than confess the name of Jesus. The other faith says: We'd rather die than deny the name of Jesus. One faith says: There are two Messiahs who will come only once. The other faith says: There is one Messiah but He will come twice." This section is great for Jews and Gentiles, that have questions regarding the idea of Jews believing in Yeshua (Jesus) as their own Messiah. It explains a great deal.

Jews and Jesus
I was fascinated by Sid Roth's very honest account of his life prior to believing in Jesus. He is not afraid to confess his past sins against God and his family, giving God all the glory for his miraculous transformation into a born-again believer in Yeshua the Messiah. What a story! But more importantly, the appendix contains several "dialogues," answering legitimate questions and concerns Jews may have about Jesus. Though the book delves deeply into theology, it's an easy read. This would be an excellent book to give to a Jewish friend who has questions about Jesus.

Answers for Jewish People
I have known this man personally for over thirty years and this book portrays the reality of his life. There were many times I sought his counsel for personal decisions and I count it a privelege to know him.If you want to know what is real in this universe, you must meet the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This book can help you past the doubts and fears.Sid is well educated, ambitious, and successful. You could only benefit from knowing about his relationship with G-d. This book is a gem.

There Must Be Something More!
It is a biography and interesting at that. How Messiah met Sid right where he was at. As you read, you can always see how God was calling him and how Sid ignored that calling for a long time.I LOVED the Messianic/Jewish history/scriptures explanations. Very easy to read. Very easy to understand and yet fascinating. Sid, as He has blessed you, You have blessed us. Thank you for your willingness to share your story and to seek Him in the fullest sense. Want to know more about Jewish thoughts of Jesus? This is the book for you!

Sid Roth's life story
Bought this because of the price, and because I watch the Sid Roth show every week. Tells his life story, how he got saved. You'd never guess he was such a spoiled little boy with bad behavior. God sure is using him in this day to reach the Jews, and to encourage all of us to believe in miracles, and to be able to pray for them too. I could not put it down, and read it overnight on my Kindle.

Out of the new age....
I've read some of the previous reviews that say that Sid Roth is a "traitor Jew", but I do not agree with that assessment. Sid Roth is a man who was deeply involved in the New Age movement and occult practices. This book details his search for "something more." He found that in Jesus, the Messiah. If you enjoy biographies of saints or other spiritual people you will enjoy this book. If you are involved in the occult or new age, and don't understand what we Christians have "found", you just might come to understand, reading this book.

Readable and thought-provoking
A very readable account of Sid Roth's life and how a selfish, manipulative young man came to know God. His account of his occult, new-age experiences makes this a book suitable to give to a friend with similar involvements. This is a well-written and grammatically correct book, which makes a change, in the realm of Kindle books. It is the kind of story that one can hardly put down until it is finished. It is easily read but interesting and challenging. I read 'Betrayed' many years ago, but had never heard of Sid Roth at that time. I was completely unaware that he was the originator of the folk music programme 'Hootenanny' or that he was now an evangelist to the Jews. Nowadays, I watch him on the God channels, so it is interesting to find out the story of someone I feel I almost know, through his television interviews of well-known Christians. Born in 1936, Roth is now nearly 80. He is often criticised for being undiscerning about the stories told on his programme, but I suppose his own occult experiences have shown him that, if occult powers are very real, then God is even more real and powerful. His aim is to demonstrate to Jews in particular that Jesus is Messiah, and he says that the best way to get their attention is to show that He is a God of miracles. There is a strong gospel message in the book as well as some supplements answering questions that non-Christians often ask.

Could Sids book "There must be something more" be turned into a powerful testimony?
Sid Roths book "There must be something more" is good and inspiring in part, but according to my view he spends too much time telling of his youth, - a short rewiev would be enough to paint a clear background.Several chapters is written by another author, so the book is no longer a unity, and the different chapters has variable quantity.Sid being a Jew believing on Jesus is to me very interesting, and some chapters kept me spellbound, but I was hoping this book would be one I would wholeheartedly like to give to Jews , but I think maybe it should be shortened into a powerful testimony that Jesus is the Messiah.Best wishes and thanks to Sid for the book and for his TV programmes.
