delivers swoon and heartaching feels perfectly.
A Lot Like Love by Jennifer Snow is that kind of dreamy romance that makes my romance addicted heart blissfully happy. Set in a beautiful small town, this second chance romance delivers swoon and heartaching feels perfectly.Sarah Lewis has a demanding career in a digital company in LA and she has no idea why her grandmother has left her dilapidated B&B in Blue Moon Bay to someone introvert and klutzy like her. She has to make some renovations before she can put it up for sale and Wes, her childhood crush is the contractor. Will their meeting go beyond repairing the house and proceed to mending hearts? Wes has responsibilities like being single dad to smart nerdy nine year old Marissa and trying to run his business while Sarah's life is in LA.I have read so many stories in similar plot line and still I never get tired of it. A girl from city coming back to her hometown and falling in love while taking care of some sentimental property..I don't know why this makes my heart sing every single time. May be it's about taking risk, going on adventure and building something fresh from the scratch. And the eye candy man making me swoon doesn't hurt either. Wes has lost his wife five years back and he is super protective of Marissa. He doesn't understand her fascination with technology and coding because he is old fashioned and more about athletic. He is a great dad and Sarah just helped him to connect to Marissa in a deeper way. Marissa is just awesome! I love this kid so much. And Sarah is an amazing woman. She finally realised that she is no longer happy working in a job that sucked out her passion with technology. She took a risk and it paid off. They have a beautiful happily ever after that couldn't come in a better way.In today's complex world, simple love stories like A Lot Like Love by Jennifer Snow give the perfect escape. I lose myself in the pages and end up with a happy heart.I reviewed an early copy voluntarily received through Netgalley and Entangled Publishing

Never assume what you don't really know about
FIrst in the Blue Moon Bay series, in which tech expert Sarah Lewis comes back to Blue Moon Bay to oversee the sale of her late grandmother's B&B, only to discover that she needs to renovate it first. She hires her high school crush, Wes Sharrun to help with the construction and soon finds herself helping his 9-year-old daughter with an app the girl has created on her own. Clearly, she's a genius!Wes is attracted to Sarah and is thrilled that she seems to be the perfect mentor to his daughter until a pervert sends little Marissa some less than appropriate pictures. That wouldn't have happened if Sarah hadn't uploaded Marissa's app onto the web. But is Sarah really at fault? How can Wes blame her when what he really wants is to love her? Especially after Sarah leaves her job at a key time in order to attend Marissa's last day at summer camp. Such a mess these misunderstandings are. Will they kill what was such a promising set of new/old relationships?

Funny, sweet, second chance romance where secrets are revealed
Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. The characters came to life for me and I truly cared what befell them. There were two second chance romances in this story. One ends well and another does not. I will admit I cried tears of sadness and those of joy at different times. I smiled a lot and even laughed at one scene. Marissa is a hoot! When Wes describes her as nine-years-old going on 30, he was so right.Sarah has inherited a decrepit old B&B from her grandma, Dove’s Nest. Her intent is to sell it as soon as possible to get back to L.A. where she works in computer technologies. Enter her former HS crush Wes, 32yo widower and contractor, who encourages her to renovate to get a better price for the old building. The story is somewhat predictable but in a good way. The reader senses in which direction Sarah will go. Some long-held secrets will be divulged. Their backstories are relatable. These characters seem so real. Their angst so palpable. And finally, their joy so overflowing. If you like sweet second chance romance with secretive and alluring looks until they become more, read this story. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley and give it without reservation at least 5 stars!

such a sweet read
A Lot Like Love is such a sweet read. If you love those single fathers, small town reads then you will fall in love with this one. I love Sarah and Wes so much. You feel for Wes as he does what he can to raise his daughter and keep his company afloat. He is an amazing father that will own your heart. I love how Sarah takes a giant step out of her comfort zone when she takes over the B&B her grandma left her. You feel the sparks fly with Wes and Sarah as they reconnect. I love how Sarah is with Wes's daughter Marissa. They create such a sweet bond together. Marissa is a sweet little matchmaker that will put a smile on your face. I cannot wait to read more of the Blue Moon Bay series to come. This is my first time reading anything from Jennifer Snow and I cannot wait for more. I could not put this down.
