We started out, like everyone else, with a baby mirror. We quickly realized it was useless at night, when we did most of our long trips. Which lead us to this: a baby monitor for the car.A lot of these are essentially repurposed rear-view cameras, which provide them a life after baby monitor duty. But I will be reviewing this as a baby monitor, not as a rear-view camera.This thing works great! We can watch our baby without turning around in our seat or squinting to see the baby mirror in the rear-view mirror. This was easy to install, with plenty of wire included and it all plugs into one power outlet. The picture is clear, though colors are a little washed-out sometimes (not really a problem though).I only really have two complaints, one of which was taken care of by the seller's free gift. First, while I love that the camera has night vision, it's almost too powerful. It does allow us to perfectly see how our little one is doing without having to turn on the dome light and waking them up which is great. And the picture is still very clear at night. But, I think the short distance between the camera and the child seat causes the picture to be very bright, which makes the monitor very bright to look at at night. I might try covering half of the LEDs and seeing that helps. My second complaint would be that I wish it came with a suction mount in the box instead of the adhesive mount. The seller did send me a suction mount as a free gift, which worked, but it would be nice if it would come with it to begin with.In the end, I am very satisfied with the baby monitor. It suits our needs perfectly and I'm already looking at getting one for our other car. Definitely skip the baby mirror and just get one of these!

AMTIFO 1080P Baby Car MirrorI received this camera as part of a promotion by AMTIFO. It’s stated purpose is to monitor the activities of baby’s and young children in the back seat of a vehicle. I don’t have young children in the backseat so I decided to use it to monitor packages and equipment I am carrying in the back of my pickup truck. The quality of the picture allows me to see if tie downs are coming loose and items possibly getting ready to blow out of the back. The 1080P resolution and accurate colors let me see everything in the back. The monitor is only 4.3” but it is large enough most of the time.I have mounted two strong magnets to the camera license plate holder to hold the camera in place wherever I need it. I mount it to the top of the cab for viewing the bed of the truck and move it to the tailgate to use as a backup camera when I need one. The magnets also allow me to place the camera at any metal location on the truck to view what is happening. (Locating rattles, bumps, etc.)My only criticisms are the length of the cable and picture quality in dim lighting.The cable is 23.5 feet long and is always a problem to stow the excess that isn’t used. I know that too much is always better than too little but I think this is too much.As the light starts fading at the end of the day the picture becomes “grainy”. Most larger detail can still be viewed.This seems to be a very good system for the price and can be used for many different things including watching baby’s.

We've been so happy with this camera so far. We bought 2 - one for each car - and set up was easy. The instructions come with a link to a YouTube video that shows you exactly how to set it up, so it really couldn't have been any simpler. As long as you have a free cigarette lighter (or cigarette lighter extender), you're good to go!! The resolution is fantastic and it's an instantaneous stream (there's no delay or anything). So happy with this purchase!!

PROS:Camera is easy to set up. Camera can be strapped to a seat to keep an eye on the back seats.The provided cable is long enough to reach any part of the vehicle and even the rear license plate making it usable as a back up camera.The camera is mounted on a piece of metal that you strap to a head rest, but it also has holes that line up to US license plates for backup camera use.Functionally does what it's supposed to. Simple system. No bells or whistles.CON:The monitor is mounted to the dash using double sided tape. Another reviewer said they got a suction cup mount sent to them for free. The tape works, but I wanted the option to mount it on the windshield and the suction cup is adjustable whereas the tape is a one time chance to mount it correctly.When I requested the suction cup I was sent a link to purchase the suction cup mount on Amazon for another $15. The camera is currently $45 (after $5 discount) and suction cup $15 for a total $60. This is high considering there are other similar systems for less. Minus 1 star for the higher cost.

Worked good for like a month and half. Now all I get is a black screen, and maybe a quick flicker of a picture

Love these. They are so easy to install and work great, they even have night vision!! Definitely gives me peace of mind being able to keep an eye on my baby without the hassle of mirrors that move and don't stay in place!!

First one arrived BROKEN. Picture kept flashing on and off every few seconds. I returned and Amazon it replaced. Works fine for 2 months, then the picture begins to flash on and off! Item is great when it WORKS. No reason for it to be broken after 2 months of use. It just sits on the window of the car. NO kids in front to play with it so why??? Just ordered a new DIFFERENT model today. VERY disaapointed. Waste of my hard earned money. : (

I bought this nearly a year ago. Absolutely amazing. Much better quality than any mirrors I have tried, ensures that I can see baby the full time. Adjusts from day to night so I can see her when I’m driving at night!

Utilisé en remplacement d'un miroir qui n'était finalement pas idéal. La caméra est parfaite avec une très belle qualité d'écran, la vision nuit est top et automatique selon la luminosité dans le véhicule. Tuto d'installation sur youtube pour accommagner à la mise en place. Dans la boite se trouve également un livret avec la possibilité d'avoir un cadeau. Nous avons choisi le support ventouse pour accrocher la caméra car les stickers double-face fournis ne tiennent pas au tableau de bord. Je recommande +++

Alors certes, pour avoir un cadeau il faut laisser une évaluation. J ai hésité mais Ie je fais quand même parce que j ai eu du mal à trouver mon bonheur en terme de caméra de voiture pour regarder bébé quand je conduis et celle ci fait le job. Donc je partage.C est à priori des caméras de recul donc il ne faut pas s attendre à la résolution d un iphone ou du dernier samsung mais on voit bien bébé. Pas de souci pour le moment.

We used to have a mirror in the back for my son, but turning constantly at night and using a torch was really annoying, as soon as I saw this I had to try it!I’ve been using it religiously for over a year now (purchased in January 2022) and it’s just been a must have product. I’ve recommended it to my friends who have little ones too.Now that I have two kids it’s even better, I can check them easily and without being distractedI love it. And with the added on windscreen holder that I bought recently it’s even better when we swap cars!
