When I buy non-organic garlic the smell is just not there . With organic it smells so much better . This don’t last long in My household

This is a 16 ounce (1 pound) bag of garlic powder. It is a lot of garlic powder. This is the POWDER. This is not granulated and it is not minced. It is USDA organic. Upon opening it, it there is a foil bag inside a brown resealable bag.This is a product of India. Manufactured for Nova Nutritions located in New Jersey.Appearance: This is a very fine yellowish powder. Powder.Flavor: Very first taste, this is a roasted garlic flavor. It starts off light and becomes stronger with garlic heat. This is not abrasive like some other garlic powders. It has a sweetness to it.Comparing it to my garlic powder on hand, this one has more flavor than my on hand garlic powder.I made a barbecue sauce with it, it married with the other flavors well. It did not overwhelm the dish that all I could taste was the garlic.4 stars because it has a roasted garlic flavor. It is slightly sweet but has the garlic heat to it. It is different from other garlic powders in that it taste more roasted than raw.

So I am a garlic lover, even that would be understatement.I put garlic in everything I cook haha.There is always a container full of fresh organic garlic, minced garlic, and chopped garlic in my refrigerator.But somehow, I have never used the powdered one.Then, this one showed up on my recommended product page (probably Alexa did that after seeing all these garlic orders I placed from Fresh and Wholefoods lol).Anyhow, this was a bigger bag than I thought it requested. ( that would be no problem though, I would finish the bag in no time !).First of all, the double bags are such a nice touch as other reviewers mentioned.And, as soon as I opened the inner bag, I could smell that garlic aroma I love so much (I know it sounds weird) !It was fine powder as you can see in my pictures.I immediately tasted a bit, and it wasn’t too strong but the smooth taste with a bit of bitterness that garlic has.Then I put a full spoon of this powder on my shrimp when I was preparing simple pesto shrimp pasta. I would usually grill sliced fresh garlic or chopped one in oil a bit before I put shrimp, but this was a great way to do without sacrificing such taste, while of course I wouldn’t have the pleasure of chewing my garlic this way.In the end, I actually enjoyed the powder more than I thought I would. The convenience of using powder could be something many people would love as well.Another plus thing is that as it’s certified organic without some other weird ingredients I can hardly pronounce. This is definitely a great choice for garlic lovers :)

I have been baking & cooking for over 30 years & I am always looking for quality ingredients to add to my pantry. I mostly cook on a large scale which means I can rip through quite a large amount of spices in a short amount of time. This garlic powder comes in a decent sized bag that would probably last the average person 6 months or maybe more depending on how much they cook. The bag seals well & is able to keep moisture out. The garlic powder has a strong flavor & scent when compared to some of the cheaper generic brands I have used & it doesn't taste bitter at all to me as some garlic powders can & it was evenly ground. In my opinion it absorbed well into my broth & sauces. I used it as part of a rub mix for a whole roasting chicken with good results & it added a really nice flavor to a large batch of chili. My only complaint is that it's difficult to shake the spice directly from the bag when I need a larger quantity & would rather dump from the bag versus scoop repeatedly to get the amount I need. This in no way effects the taste or quality & is a minor gripe based off my personal preference. I love that the garlic powder is organic & is in what I consider an affordable price range for the quantity received.I depend on honest reviews to get the best products I can within my budget & I strive to leave accurate detailed reviews for others so they can make an informed decision as well. Bag was ripped in the bottom and the foil bag inside had a small tear. Amazon did refund me so I am putting it as a 3 star.
