Worked with my nano JBJ 28 gal but you do ...
Worked with my nano JBJ 28 gal but you do have to clean the prop once in a while when it builds up algae as it diminishes the effectiveness of the pulse. You have to dial in in for the proper wave action.

These are great
I get about 18 months out of these which is kind of what I expect. Easy to install, can move a ton of water and settings are easy to manipulate.

Instant fail
Bought an SW8 a week ago. Finally hooked it up and the controller made a loud pop and stopped working. Hooked the pump up to another controller I have and the pump is fine.

Deducted 1 star because of connector 1-10V interface
Jebao pumps are not known for their longevity, but they are also a lot less expensive than some of the alternatives. The functionality of the wavemaker is not significantly different than previous versions, for example, the WP series that I also own. An advantage of the SW series is the 0-10v input that is compatible with the VDM ports of the Neptune Apex. The input is close to a standard DC charging port (male barrel) but the standard connector will fit loosely. I found it necessary to place a small amount of solder on the barrel to maintain a secure connection, thus the 4-star rating

Affordable and reliable
Love Jebao products, never had an issue for the past 5 years in this hobby.

Doesn't last long
It lasted for a little under a year. I see others experienced the same issue. If you're looking for longevity, this isn't it. Especially for the price. Should be cheaper. I've gone through 2. I Only purchased again because I didn't want to bother doing the research and looking for another setup with a timer and controller options. But now it looks like I will have to.

Controller Died after 8 Months
Reef Tank application. I was generally happy with the unit until it dies at 8 months. PM cleaning every 2 months. Set at speed 6, in W1 mode, not on night mode, on Master. I have another SW-8 so I can see it is the controller at issue.
