I brought two of these brushes to replace the Tangle Teezers that had become almost brittle and sharp ended.These boar bristle brushes have bamboo handles and suit my short single coated rescue dog.It doesn’t appear to get right through the double coat of our large Labrador.As the bristles are soft to medium firm, they provide a very gentle brushing experience.I usually spray the brush with a coat deodorising spray before I begin and do this job whilst the dog’s are eating and otherwise occupied.I use a metal raking comb every few weeks to keep their coats tidy and these brushes most days. It works, it just doesn’t pick up as much as the tangle teezers did. Neither are they as easy to clean but I’m still going to stick with them.There’s something about using natural materials that feels a lot better than plastic every time.

The bristles are fairly stiff on this brush which would normally be ok, but my dog hates being brushed as it is and it tends to pull on his skin on his tummy which is where the slight knots tend to be, so it hurts him. Perhaps better for a larger dog

This brush is perfect for a short hair dog such as a rottweiler, doberman, staffy etc. My doberman already loves it and it's a great size. Far value and much bigger than what pets at home had

It’s a really well made and comfortable to use brush. Our cat loves being brushed with it!
