Even better than the photo!

I purchased these for my 17 year old son for Christmas, and let’s just say I definitely got MOMofTHEYEAR2025. He absolutely loved them. I was super happy with this purchase because the quality of the boot is exceptional. There was no skimping on the materials used to make this boot. I thought the color might be too dark, but in person, it just the right shade of brown and looks very well polished. I was worried it might look orange but it was nowhere close to that. It’s the perfect shade of brown you’d expect to see on a man’s boot. Their functionality was as expected; doing its job of protecting the feet while say cleaning up the backyard of brush and walking back and forth. The material thickness, in my opinion, was a good amount. Not to thick, but not too thin. The weather in my area can get pretty hot, and even though it was winter when I bought them, the weather was still above 75 degrees. So these boots made them a good fit by keeping feet warm but not sweaty. My son has wide feet and I considered getting the wide shoes bc they come in both regular and wide; but I opted for the regular. He said they fit comfortable, as some shoes are tight around the ball of the feet (bottom of foot underneath the toes). So if you’re trying to decide on which ones, I’d try the regular ones first. Plus the leather will conform to your feet once you break them in. They didn’t seem chemically or plastic-y, they did smell like a good quality leather, but not overwhelming. He has flat feet and usually complains about his feet hurting with other shoes that have no arch support, but he’s been wearing these everyday and I haven’t heard one complaint. All in all this momma is one happy customer! Get you some, if you can. You might get FOMO if you don’t.

Got 3 years

Great boot! I got 3 years out of my first pair, just received my second. Comfy right out of the box, durable, and with a little Huberd’s my feet have stayed dry. Even bought a couple pair for my crew as gifts. Still might have the first pair re-soled.

So far so good.

So far so good, only been wearing them a few days now so my feet are still getting used to the support level, moved from a hiking type shoe to a work boot hoping to get better support and longevity. The leather is surprisingly soft and pliable right out of the box, they fit well, and they look nice. Had a 12 hour day in them yesterday and my feet weren't the sorest part of my body (walk around on hard surfaces average 7-10 miles a day). If they maintain comfort and hold up, the four star may become a five.Update: 6 months in the four star did become a 5 star. These seem to get more comfortable every day, the leather is pretty supple now, and other than having to get one of them stretched to accommodate a large foot, which is hardly the boots fault, they've been great. Just clean and oil them every three months or so, takes 10 minutes and it keeps the leather from drying out and water resistant. They also look brand new every time you're done, been using the sofsole mink oil, works really well.UPDATE:I've had these boots for about 8 months now and they have broken in very nicely. I did have to get one of them stretched a little (left foot is wider than my right foot), but that was no big deal. I walk around on hard surfaces all day (7-9 miles a day) and these boots have kept my feet in pretty good shape. They are getting close to needing a re-sole and I will definitely do that as opposed to getting a new pair, even thought the price isn't that different the leather has gotten so soft and supple I don't want to get rid of them. I find if you oil them regularly (1-2 months) they stay looking pretty new and supple. Great boot, going to get another pair for my camping and fishing trips.

Narrow boots

So because of the revenues i ordered wide EE. These boots are very narrow. Even with the wide size they are snug but useable. A couple of the outer seams are ragged but appear sewn good. First Irish setters I have owned.

Best shoes ever!!!

I’m so glad my husband asked for these boots! He doesn’t ask for much! He works hard & is on his feet all day! He’s been so fatigued & had terrible leg pains & back pains! He was wearing cheap shoes, because that’s all we could afford! But like I said, he doesn’t ask for much, so I knew I was going to make these boots happen for him, no matter what!WE MADE IT WORK! Best investment ever!!! He’s not in any pain anymore! He’s only had them for about a week too! I’m so impressed & so happy with the results! PLUS, they’re very handsome! They are by far the nicest boots he’s ever owned! I love the aesthetics of the leather! Just so handsome & well made! Top notch quality!!!Lightweight & extremely durable! The soles are fantastic! He didn’t want steel toe because they’re not really necessary in his line of work. Plus they were more expensive! These are mainly for walking around a warehouse, as well as finished carpentry work!Very professional looking!

This is not an Irish Setter.

I don't know what to say. I was really impressed with the safety toe version of this... decided to order the soft toe version. Wow. What a mistake. Is this the same company? What happened? The shoe is completely different. How is it that the safety toe, 10.5 EE, is properly sized, feels perfect out of the box, and yet the soft toe, 10.5 EE, appears to be a size smaller in length and is also extra narrow??? Like. We're talking it's narrower than a standard non-wide shoe. The wide version... isn't wide. At all. I don't know what's going on. I was thinking about stretching to make it fit, but that doesn't widen the footbed. I've honestly never experienced this where the heel is so narrow that my heel can't even properly sit in the insole. What do I do? Do I order a bigger size? I thought I found my perfect work boot and now I'm pretty disheartened going back on the hunt again.

Great boots

On the second pair now I love these boots after just a short while they conformed exactly to your foot These boots are very high-quality. You can make them last way longer if you condition them
