Not for dry curly hair
This product is not suitable for dry curly hair unless you want to disrupt the curl pattern and have your hair be frizzy. I know that this is obvious, but I read somewhere that this was an excellent tool for curly girls at the gym. Not so much. However, it brushed through my very thick, curly hair without snagging or pulling, so... its still a good tool.

MUCH better than silicone scrubbers!
I have medium/high-density hair that is very fine. I've tried the silicone-tipped scrubbers and they can't get through my hair to my scalp. This scrubber brush is amazing for detangling, scalp massage, hair oiling, and shampooing. It is lightweight, easy to hold, and easy to clean. It's a few dollars more than other options, but worth the extra cost. I'm buying a second brush so that I can leave one in my shower and keep another in my nightstand for detangling and scalp massage before bed.

For this shape of the brush, glue the handle down. Otherwise, it's perfect.
I would suggest you use E6000 or Gorilla Glue on the handle, because at some point, the cones holding it will pop out.I bought this brush though because my fellow thick-haired friend suggested it and this model was the cheapest one. The actual brush itself is perfect. Idk what in the world it is but it takes every strand of this 4C mop and turns it into a smooth, wavy ribbon. That is the best way I can describe it, and the most accurate. It's so much easier for me to twist my hair when I use these Denman brushes so I went ahead and bought a D14 with an actual stick on it a few weeks ago for $16 from their website.

Worth the hype
Included are one before photo (in the coat with the frizz) and one after photo (with the curls and the joy). This brush is made of soft and flexible plastic that conforms to the shape of my hand. I have rather small hands, and I find it fits best if I slip my pinkie out of the handle and control the pressure with my thumb on the opposite side of the brush. Larger hands may find it more comfortable having their pinkie and their index finger outside the handle. It feels SO GOOD on my scalp. I don't know how much truth there is behind 'scalp massages really make your hair grow faster and thicker', I haven't looked into the science, and am still a little skeptical, but oh my gosh does it feel good. It feels so good.I had no idea how many LAYERS my hair had. I also had no idea how THIRSTY my hair was; I went through half a 1.5 liter spray bottle and still had a lot of dry patches while I was detangling for the first time.I don't use any products yet but if you only get to choose one (1) item to begin your hair repair journey with, this should be it.

Works but…..
Way overpriced. This is a cheap plastic brush.$4.00 would be too much for this.It does its job however.

Wow
Wow, this massager/exfoliation tool is the truth. It really helped when my skin cell turnover aka flakes were so much and my scalp was itching so much. So the only thing I would say make sure you use this when you are going to brush. For my low porosity hair I couldn’t use the tool without brushing my hair with a paddle brush or it will tangle my hair. I truly recommend CynDoll from YouTube as well she is amazingggggg, educated me a lot on my natural hair.

Handle disconnects at slightest resistance
I have no idea why this is consistently rated so high. It has to be a bot campaign. For some unknown reason the handle on the detangler is not actually just manufactured where it is connected on both sides, but is instead made where one side is connected and the other is only held on through a slot that is barely smaller than the handle, so every time you face the slightest resistance while combing your hair it pops out. Truly an awful product.
