Best Tuya thermometer.
I have tried quite a few Tuya based thermometers/hygrometers for my cool/cold cloud forest orchids and Highland Nepenthes growing room. All of the thermometers/hygrometers would read to about 80 to 85% then jump to 99% and stay there until moved to a drier location. Cheap humidity sensors are only accurate up to 85%. I have read many data sheets to find one to build my own Arduino thermometer/hygrometer. I like this one so much that I bought a second one.

The good, bad and ugly - overall, an accurate smart life thermostat
Liked: nice size, mounting bracket, decent instructions, accurate temperature, optional temp probe was included, nice LED display, worked with Smart Life app, lots of features (Temp, Humidity, Luminosity (brightness in room), rechargeable battery, runs on USB power - reccomended). The recharchable battery is primary for when the power goes out, battery life is not long enough to use all the time, consider this a hard wired USB power unit with rechargable batter backup. USB charge cable included.Disliked:(z) USB charger not included, but any spare one you have likely would work(a) Low Temp sensitivity range is only -2.2F / -19 C ... so wasn't not enough to freezer monitoring.(b) When the low tempt limit is exceeded, the thermostat switches to the built in temp sensor temp instead, which is bad news when monitoring the freezing with unit external and probe internal. [ so when I was using the probe on the freezer, it would read -1.5 F but when it exceeded -2.2 F, suddenly it would read 51 F which was the garage temp for the display.] I found the probe only a bit more accurate than the built in sensor, but both were acceptable with the range it allows.(c) low and high temp buzzer kept going off, very annoying if you don't want it ...not sure how to disable (but setting calibration did seem to prevent it, but leads to inaccurate readings. Not clear how to reset from app, but I think you can somehow.(d) can set to either C or F ... but there is a bug with setting while on F mode. THe workaround and suggested way to do it is: set to C mode, set the low and high limits, then set it back to F unit mode. THe problem in the app is that when in F mode, if you set the temp to say 32 F, it actually saves it as 32 C. But if you set the limit in C mode, then it converts to the correct F equivalent when you switch back to F mode. This is an annoyance, nut not a huge deal.(e) no clear way to turn off the low or high temp alerts. I tried setting to lowest and highest possible value but it would still trigger the alarm if low end value was reached. Calibrate to 1 higher might prevent the alarm? So for me, I will likely use this in my basement only .... for the intended use of monitoring the freezer it didn't really work because of limit of -2.2 F as the coldest it can handle, then switches sensor with limit exceeded. This might work just great for greenhouses, brewing, room temp monitoring. It was cool that the app does allow you to trigger events based on the temp or humidity, it just didn't work for me because of the limitations I ran into.It would be nice if there was a way to disable the low temp switching sensors behavior ... and a way to disable the alarms.

Does as advertised. Totally recommended.
Easy to use and the onboarding was done in less than 2 mins. Totally worth it.

Condensation formed
I was looking for a wireless thermometer that would send excursion alarms to my phone. The app graphs temps/humidity. Unfortunately the wire for the temperature probe is very thick. I found the door seal on our freezer could not firmly seal around the wire causing condensation to form inside the freezer in the area near where the wire was inserted. Additionally the battery did not last 1 week after a full charge. If there were details related to these two factors in the description, I missed them. This did not meet my needs or expectations.

Works very well for price point
Bought this as a redundant eye to my WiFi thermostat while away for extended time at home in Mexico.Has been slightly different in reading from thermostat in both temperature and humidity, but stays consistent. Always was able to check away. Has been reliable. Recommended

Temperature reading is fine (on second try) but battery is a zero
The first item i got had a 10 degrees difference between the unit temperature readout and the probe read out when they were 2 inches away from each other. Asked for a replacement which has a good match between the internal and probe temperature readout but both units had the battery hold charge for no more than 2 seconds. I'll keep the second unit but it needs to be plugged in in order to work at all times. I guess you get what you pay for

Working Bee, saved us when our heat went out in our house at 32 degrees.
Thankful this device altered us that our heat went out in our house. Without it a epic disaster could have happened at 32 degrees.

Screen backlight has already stopped working.
This has been working for keep an eye on my freezer in the garage. However the back light on the screen has already quit working. This was expected since I could not find anyway to turn iT off,it runs a the time. This runs the battery down quickly if you are not using a power supply. Also cannot get temp warning setting to save. I set them in the app and they go right back to where they were. I was able to get it to take once but have not been able to get low settings to min. Last disappoint is the temp prob seam to not work if it gets too cold and the unit reverts to the on board sensor which is on the unit itself, causing me to get a false high temperature alarm.
