Thanks to the designer for solving this absurd problem in a simple and cost effective way. Gas struts are weak and unnatural to use (that action of sitting and pulling upwards with little jumps at the same time... are we suppose to lay eggs or something ? who asked for that?) the gas struts are weak and a problem waiting to happen, when most people just need the seat at a fixed position (typically at the top). This solution works great. The only thing is that I would like to have the straps available in black color , but not a big issue

Not elegant but effective, not expensive, and quick to fit.Thought about new gas strut but the chair is a study and nobody will notice the difference.

I'll be real with you, I'm a big girl and my office chair has been with me for a few years so when I started to drop it like its hot everytime I sat down I started to get a little annoyed.Not really in the market for a new chair and mine was being temperamental where it liked to freak me out by dropping a cm at a time while I'm working, or just fully drop when i sat so I ordered this kit.Had to cut away the plastic skirt on my chair as i didnt want to fully take it apart, clipped these plastic cuffs on and started closing the jubilee clips. Bit fiddly if you're not really DIY inclined but still simple to do.All in all, its done it, I'm not startling like a baby when I sit down and not looking like a kid on teams calls, so fully recommended!

The plastic sleeves crush and then come off. You have to take the legs off to fit the sleeves as they don't clip over the piston. If your doing that you may as well buy a new gas cylinder and be done with.

These work and although a bit of screwdriver work for the clips it was easy enough. The plastic rings are not sturdy but I am hoping with two clips on every one it will hold. I am 100kg and the gas strut failed on my chair after a few months. So far these work and I am back to sitting up rather than staring at screen from below. Its a lot cheaper than a new chair.

When I saw these I thought they woul be perfect. The black plastic parts are easy to fix to the chair. However the silver parts are really awkward to assemble. Easy to go place at top and bottom of plastic parts but tricky and fiddly to tighten to the exact size you want.

Es un producto barato y resistente. Se estropeó el pistón de la silla de mi oficina y buscando mucho he encontrado este producto que, aparte de ser barato, es resistente (peso bastante) y muy fácil de instalar. Muy contento con la compra y muy recomendable para poder seguir usando la silla.
