I didn't make any tortilla's yet, but this gadget is heavy duty and presses easy. I'm already thinking of all the things I'm going to smash away at now.

So I ordered this so I could make homemade tortillas. It's heavy, which is good, but the paint flakes off easily. Luckily, they recommend that you use parchment paper, which not only keeps it from sticking, but keeps the paint from getting in your food. I like it, it seems sturdy, and it's definitely worth the price. Unfortunately, a medical condition caused me to cut out most carbs just prior to it being delivered. I'm sure I'll use it eventually, but until then...it's good quality and I'm sure it will work fine when I figure out what else I can do with it.

Great deal on this. I used it last night for the first time. I wasn't making tortillas, I was making roti. I used the press instead of rolling out the dough by hand. I must say, it's a winner and keeper for me. Love that's heavy duty and cast iron. Anything cast iron will last a long time.

First time I ordered this, the box was in shambles and the PLASTIC legs (for a very heavy cast iron press) were shattered with pieces of plastic all over the box. I requested a replacement which arrived quickly. This time, it was packaged inside an Amazon box, but the product box was all worn and taped up and also had shattered legs. Clearly, they just send these right back out after a return.Between the 2 presses, I was able to get 4 functioning legs to at least try it. I made up some flour tortilla dough, placed 1 balled up piece in the press and was disappointed by how small the tortilla was. It was still very thick (more like flatbread) so I kept trying it and it never got thinner or larger. I tried doubling the size of the dough ball and got the exact same size of tortilla, just thicker. It was maybe 4-5 inches? For a 10 inch press, it was a very disappointing turn out.I will concede that it could be a problem with my recipe, but with the hassle of TWO broken units, in addition to the tortillas being thick and small, I have to give this product 1 star.

Sturdy, heavy duty and easy to assemble. Love it!!

I am gluten free and low carb. I use use it for tortillas and low carb flat beads. Love it. Makes quick work
