I had the previous model for about 5 years before the basket handle broke. The fryer is very easy to use, the oil bin is removable and it's easy to strain the oil and wash the bin after. The lid is also removable and I put it in the dishwasher. The whole thing is easy to wipe and keep grease free. The fryer works well and produces lovely, crisp. golden chips. It holds enough chips for 2/3 people. Once clean, I keep it in a small cupboard. It's lightweight once it's empty, so easy to lift and move.

This Russell Hobbs DFF is very clean, perfect in all ways and really easy to use - so delighted to have this now!N.B. We had for many years bought Rota-Fryers (that use strange UK adaptors) but the latest one cost £246.00 and when we plugged it in to use; the electrics started smoking and then burst into flames ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!Thank goodness we had bought on Amazon Prime who refunded our money directly and didn't want it shipped back.We realise that this new Russell Hobbs Deep fat Fryer is 100% safer and easier to use plus being 4 x times less cost - a real winner.

Not a bad bit of kit, cooks enough for 3 big portions, seems to heat up well and cooks the chips well. The heating element lifts out leaving the oil pan behind which also lifts out so you can pour the old oil into a suitable container. The only downside is that with proper potato cut chips there is considerable leakage of steam and oil vapours ! So ideally needs to be under an extractor.

Large capacity and easy to use. Perfect chips every time. Would recommend.

Used 2 bottles of vegetable oil to fill this. Home made chips are a treat and makes onion rings taste so different from air fryed. It's kinda naughty to use one of these but its a treat. No gripes about this at all.

I found it cheaper in Amazon it is safe if the kids touch the body I don’t like it how everything comes apart easy to clean the only thing I can’t tell anybody is the timer never use the timer but I use everything else and it’s amazing. This is my third one and I found it cheaper in Amazon than Argos.

Only getting 3 stars as the first one delivered had a bent basket & was dangerous to use with Russell Hobbs not interested, replaced by amazon & new one is fine
