POWER plusShark 1W LED Wind-Up Torch

This essentially does what it says on the tin. It's an impressively bright LED torch.This should be thought of as being a mains-rechargeable torch with a wind-up back up feature, ensuring you will never be caught without a light and won't need to cary spare batteries around with you. A good feature if you intend going out into the wilderness.This has three LEDs. One powerful 1 watt LED in the centre with two less powerfull LEDs on each side. It has three lighting modes which come in sequence when you press the on button. First the low power beam mode which lights up the two LED's at the side and makes a soft beam, which is suitable for reading etc. Second the high power beam which lights up the 1 watt LED and makes a fairly powerful beam, powerfull enough to illuminate something 20 metres away. Thirdly there is the flashing mode which works with the high power beam, and is presumaby designed to be used as an emergency beacon.I have not tested the waterproofing claims so cannot verify them, however, it looks well constructed.This torch is a good choice for anyone going on a long camping trip etc. It is not the smallest or lightest torch, being slightly too large for pocket size. However as mentioned before, the wind-up feature ensures you will not need spare batteries, and it should stand up well to the elements.

I ordered this torch because I wanted one that was waterproof and didn't require replacement batteries and it is just brilliant. The people that designed this torch knew what they were doing and there is some great engineering behind it. It's hand held, comes with a wrist lanyard and isn't very heavy. The on/off button is located on a raised plastic nipple so it is easy to find in the dark and each press of the button changes the beam from low light, bright light, flashing and then off. Low light uses two smaller LED's on either side of the central bright light LED which has excellent range. The torch looks like it is has been primarily designed for divers and provides white light rather than the warm glow of the conventional replacement battery style torch. The wind-up handle is solidly constructed and the jack plug works as a mains recharger as well as the connection point to charge mobile phones (it comes with seven other adapters as well as the standard Nokia one). The only drawback with the torch is that it is expensive and, to be fair, I don't know how hard it will be to change the LED's should they stop working, but all in all PowerPlus have done a great job with the Shark torch.

Ok, so it is a bit pricey, and isn't the best looking, but this wind up torch is the best I've come across for doing the job. This is not a cheap toy that will let you down the first time you actually need it. The wind up mechanism feels well engineered andGenerates enough power to give a really good Beam . Don't compare to a battery torch because they are two totally diffent beasties, but this torch is a great backup, and there's no batteries to worry about. Also comes with some connection leads to charge your phone(depending on your phone you may have to buy an adaptor, they have them in Poundland) so if your looking for an emergency torch that gives a great performance and won't let you down then I think you have just found it !

The best and most reliable torch I've had for using around the farm. After about four years of heavy, 365 days a year use, the switches do wear out. BUT, this is after they've been soaked, covered in mud, buried in a deep straw stable floor, dropped 4 foot onto solid concrete... these Shark torches are tough, bright, and reliable! I've been using them for twelve years, and wouldn't be without one. Comfortable to hold, don't roll away if put down. Charges well on mains or wind-up.Latest torch came from Smart Green Shop: had a difficulty with the courier delivery but they were very helpful and put it right straight away.

I'm into Everyday Carry. It's a thing trust me. This torch has been used a lot by me and has extensions for USB C and Micro. If you have an I phone and a charging cable you can use that too. It's well made and I recommend it as I live in a caravan in the country, and when it gets dark-it,s DARK. PEACE

Robust.Drei Leuchtmodi, wovon der mittlere wirklich sehr stark leuchtet.Wiederaufladbar durch Kurbeln, allerdings muss man schon kräftige Hände und Oberarme dazu haben bzw. trainiert sein, denn die Kurbel-Vorgaben, um ein optimales Ergebnis zu erhalten, bzw. ein Handy aufzuladen, sind kaum zu schaffen.Als Taschenlampe möchte ich sie jedoch nicht missen.

Deuxième achat de cette lampe que je recommande les yeux fermés depuis des années. Ma première me suit depuis 5 ans sans problème, compacte, efficace, solide, tout y est.C’est LA lampe adéquat en camping, bushcraft ou à la maison.

LA linterna cumple con lo que dice, llego en termino y aunque una de las 2 que encargue no funcionaba correctamente, avise a amazon y me devolvieron el dinero y asi pude comprar otra de nuevo , que también llego en termino y esta si funciona correctamente, así que estoy satisfecho con el producto y con amazon que siempre se comporta correctamente con el cliente.la calidad precio me parecio correcta.

Die Taschenlampe ist genau das Richtige für die Zeiten der Energiekrise. Mit der Handkurbel lässt sie sich schnell aufladen. Und bei einem Stromausfall spät abends ist sie eine große Hilfe, um die Ursache zu finden, zum Stromkasten zu gehen und das Haus wieder mit Strom versorgen zu lassen. Für einen Notfall ist die Ladefunktion des Gerätes auch sehr hilfreich. Für mich persönlich war es ein Superkauf zum optimalen Preis.
