Smart looking solution
This is quite expensive for a garden gate latch however it seems well made, sturdy, nicely finished, easy to mount and looks lovely. If it lasts then it will prove a very worthwhile purchase.

Nice spring action to the handle
Feels well made. It has a nice spring action. I like that the latch return is flush with the plate rather than perpendicular to it as my gate post is on an annoying angle, but this works well. My gate was standard depth so I did have to trim the spindle to size. Arrived on time as promised.

Great but not so straight forward.
Love the handle. Made well, works great But...Both handles open the same way. You need to change the mechanism on one side to reverse it. This is easy to do but I needed to buy a set of C clip pliers to do the task. So an extra Ā£10. Takes 2 minutes once u have the right tool but a bit annoying. Was it worth it? Yes, I had crummy gate latches this is far better. Closes perfectly and easy to open both sides. I also needed to grind/cut down the bit which runs through the gate which I expected.If it was easy to change the internal mechanism 5 stars.

Very good latch ,does the job for me

Not double-sided design!
It's not a double sided design as the listing suggest. If you have a gate with the hinge on a right hand side and the gate opens inwards, then you would need to mount it upsidedown. Will be returning it!
