Expectations Over-exceeded
It just arrived tonight. I’ve been waiting all day. The setup was clear-cut, thanks to the informative literature that it comes with. Build quality is excellent— sturdy, solid, and feels like it was made with quality parts. Connecting using a pre amplifier, there is absolutely no other noise but what is on the record. It’s beautiful. I am so glad I bought this and not one of the mass-produced brands that suffer quality for quantity. I am so pleased with this product that I am having difficulty trying to find the best way to say it. Really the only negative (if you want to call it one) is that the belt is just a bit shy of just taught- it’s slightly loose and has a tendency to slip off the platter when touched. It stays on perfectly otherwise. The overall experience with this purchase and the product completely outweighs the slightly-large belt, making the “issue” negligible in my opinion. Thanks Pro-Ject for a very fine product!!Sound quality:Punchy bass, defined highs, and mids that you can swim in. Ease of use:It’s hurt a turntable. No gimmicks; no Bluetooth, no extra buttons or knobs, no lights — the care put into making sure this product just works like a record player, and does it well, is hard to come by. Literally so easy to use thanks to the lack of gimmicks. This is something I’ll be recommending to all of my audiophile friends and family. All-in-all, even without instructions it was built to be intuitive to use. Look:Sleek. Modern. Retro? Like if someone from today woke up in the 70’s and realized records were totally rad and had to bring a record player back to 2025 and make it fit in; with appearance and function. Functionality:It is functional. Functionally fantastic. Again, this just blew away the bar I had set for an Amazon turntable buy.Ease of setup:20/10. Intuitive setup. If it isn’t intuitive to set up, the included literature will definitely help. The information is specific, and precise. Should you read the literature and follow all the recommendations and advice within, this setup will be a breeze. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Because it is made in Europe and goes through hardcore testing. The standards put into making these are so high. They use words like “perfectly calibrated” to instill confidence in their brand that they take what they do seriously and take pride in how rigorous their quality control is. Other, bigger, sellers/makers have a set standard for quality because they are trying to pump the product out as quick as possible. Not here. You can 100% tell. The quality is unmatched.

Loud hum
Loud hum in right channel. Went through the trouble shooting steps suggested by the company technician I corresponded with. He finally concluded it was not a grounding problem - the turntable was defective. Then I read the reviews on Amazon and found this humming was a common problem.
