Esv Study Bible: Personal Size Trutone, Charcoal/sage, Trail Design Paperback – January 1, 1900

Across my life of reading the Bible I've read the King James version, NIV, NASB and ESV. The Bible version spectrum lists the NASB as the most accurate word for word followed by ESV. NIV is more idea to idea and still a good option as a version.The quality of the Bible itself is very good. The binding, the cover and pages are better than some Bibles purchased over time. It lays flat and open whether in the palm of your hand or table. Most Bibles owned are black or brown so it is a nice change and a very nice color in the navy blue tone. Other than the navy cover which is very nice there are no other markings or impressions on the front and the side binding indicates study Bible ESV in large print and Crossway as the brand. The single column format is more preferred for my taste and reading style. The only comment I would make is that verses aren't as easily detected as some two column Bibles that a verse always starts on a new line. It's not a deal breaker but just a note. The font size is 9pt for the Biblical text and 7 point for the study section. Having had 7 or even 7.5pt font Bibles is difficult to read for those who have trouble with smaller fonts. It's not bad for the study section (with readers) and 9 is a decent sized font for the Biblical text. The pages are white and the font itself is easy to read. This is not a red letter edition if that is an important feature.The study portion of the Bible is more thorough than some versions purchased in the past. This Bible also contains a wealth of additional study guides and information at the front and back of the bible. Or course always double-check your sources but find these study guides and subjects to be a great help in studying.This Bible has been priced lower than retail and was a bargain pickup to add to my collection. I will say again based on the amount of study material alone and the layout and quality of this Bible it is one of my all time favorites. It is one I would highly recommend as part of your study collection.

Love this bible! It has many helps and resources such as introductions to books, history of the 400 years (between OT and NT), references, maps (not just in the back of the bible but throughout), footnotes, many many helps. It is not a thin bible - about 2 1/4" thick. This bible lays open very nicely, no flipping pages. Cover is beautiful, soft, conforms to lap nicely. I have had many bibles (in many versions) over the years but this ESV Study Bible is my absolute favorite for reasons mentioned. It truly is a beautiful bible and I just can't seem to put it down for too long. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) I would give it a 10 and recommend it to any woman interested in studying the bible regardless where you are in your journey. I dare say, this particular bible is not for the faint hearted but for the serious, intentional woman. (I say woman because the cover is more feminine than masculine.)

This is a great Bible. Love the leather and the pages are great. It is on the thicker side. I did not read when I purchased it but it's not a problem. Great purchase.

I've been looking for a great study Bible and this is the one. It is so well made, visually beautiful inside and out, and feels wonderful in my hands. The study portion is fabulously written. Easy to understand and all sourced with scripture. Highly recommend!

I am in love with this bible because it’s easy to understand and the photos spread thorough out is just cool to have the visuals along with something you can understand because for me since I could understand it I’m likely to pick it up and that’s always been a struggle and I have taken a KJV and read these side by side and I can’t tell a difference other than this on is just simple English

I love having a study bible and I love the ESV study bible because it is so chock full of notes, references, maps, charts, and brilliant chapter introductions. However, the traditional ESV study bibles are so big and bulky that I couldn't really take them with me to church, to bible studies, or just out to study at Starbucks. This bible is so perfect because it's exactly the same as the large hardcover ESV study bible, but sized for me to carry with me. And the font doesn't suffer in making this smaller, everything is readable.Plus ESV is a solid translation and the editors and writers of the study bible are all Yoda smart biblical scholars. So with this bible you are getting so much information to help you understand scripture, go deeper with Jesus, and be always learning. 10/10 would recommend!

ESV is considered as my first choice of the Bible version, my reviews on the make of the book, quality material for sure, book is in good size, can put in medium sized shoulder bag, portable, and the colorful pictures and charts, and the commentaries are very educational when it comes to understand a full chapter, of course, God's words and His wisdom is way beyond my plain comprehension, and I hope this good study Bible would help me move further a little bit in understanding the profound and perfect knowledge from Him! I am so happy, and it will keep me busy !!! Thank you Amazon for the quick delivery by the way, I ordered in the morning, and when I came home, it is already there !!

Nice book nice cover, great features,great text,colorful maps and illustrations as stated .....It make an outstanding bible study book ! I am so please to owned one. The truth is I am new to bible .....not exactly new , I been to church in the past but barely read the bible because back then I was a teen and hardly find myself with any interest in the bible at the time but now I felt like I am in connection with the great lord Jesus Christ so I got this book and just begun to read it with excitement ! This book is easy to read and understandable! I strongly recommend it ! so get one and enjoy ! happy study bible reading time to all !!
