Exactly what I needed, and sturdy if you build it correctly.
I noticed many of the reviews which complained about stability and included pics or video -- it was obvious the tripod was not set up correctly. It's important to set the legs as shown in the product photo. Unfortunately, the tripod allows you to extend the legs past the stability point, so you must ensure they are angled properly, then tighten down the clamp.Build quality is sufficient for this price point. The metal is thinner than more expensive options, but if you're careful with the set up and how you tighten down the clamps and bolts, it will serve it's purpose well. Because the clamps are plastic, over tightening could cause cracks eventually. I've seen it happen with other cheap tripods and stands I've used for studio lighting and backdrops when people really crank down on it. Should be snug, but doesn't require too much extra strength applied. The instructions included are fairly simple, but show two methods of setting up this stand. The default configuration is the taller format, but you can swap the clamps and exclude the center pole which allows the stand to be shorter for use on a table or desk. For me, this is the better option where I'm using a projector. The taller configuration works well too, though I felt like the weight of your projector will then have more influence on stability when the center of gravity is raised too much.Overall, I'm very pleased with this stand and it was perfect for my uses. Easy to set up, and more than enough stability for the simple projector I'm using. The tray is large enough for a larger home theater projector, but I'm using a fairly small one. The larger or heavier your projector, the more I would recommend looking for a heavier duty stand.

It's the 3.6 rotogen of projector stands.
The stand is fairly cheap, somewhat easy to assemble, though, not the greatest. Stability is...optional. The legs open up at the foot and a half mark, and don't spread out very far. The main support shaft isn't very thick, so it wobbles from someone just walking across the floor nearby. If someone brushes it, it will rock to and fro quite a bit. It's WAY to easy for someone to entirely knock this over, especially with a chunky projector. I would NOT put a 4k machine on this. Or put this in a room full of kids or drunken family or football watchers. It does have some nice straps and a corner locking mechanism for the projector. If put on a table and the shaft lowered, it adds some decent stability, but again, the weight and legs are still not the best designed. I'm not going to say it's horrible, because it DOES work, just know what you're getting into, and plan accordingly.

Very good stand for video projector.
I have a video projector and large screen in an out building on my property. This stand allowed me to get the projector off the coffee table in front of the seating from which I watch. It is very adjustable and is stable given what I use it for. Video projectors are heavy so any stand with one on top will inevitably be top-heavy. The three legs are very adjustable to achieve maximum stability.

Better than expected
I had pretty low expectations for the price. I just needed something collapsible to use in the RV for my laptop that I could store easily. My 9 year old assembled it for me in just a few minutes and it’s actually great quality. Folds up smaller than a camera tripod and fits in my under dinette drawer. Very happy with how easy and sturdy it is!

OK but be careful
This is a ok stand. But be very careful when putting it away as the supports are very flimsy and will bend easily,

Fairly sturdy
This was not a bad stand by any means. Was relatively easy to put to put together for the most part. The instructions were a bit confusing at times. Luckily, I was able to have it all up and built in about 10 minutes from the time I opened it.Stability of the stand when holding my projector wasn't too bad either. It can be a little wobbly at times. Fortunately, there are a few adjustable knobs that can help alleviate this issue. The platform is also pretty large and features straps that to hold down your projector.Overall, this is a pretty affordable solution to those who need a fairly quality stand for their projector.

Drastically improve projector quality
This review isn’t really about the quality of the stand itself but more abt just purchasing a stand. It allows you to prop you projector higher in the air and have a more leveled projection which drastically improved video quality. The stand itself is ok quality and was easy to assemble.
