It will help if you are good with tech things because a lot of technology went into this and I can’t believe these only cost $15.Nice unit and the sound is very good.Relatively easy to set up with all the things it does. Also perfect size for alarm clock radio.Does not pick up radio stations where I am located but ok.I would recommend this alarm clock radio .

This does everything it is supposed to do but I can only give it 4 stars because I had to replace the back up battery already, less than a month after buying it. Obviously they are using old batteries in these, or they are sitting on the shelf too long before they are sold. Not a BIG deal, but it shouldn't happen like this. Otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Once again I purchased another clock thinking maybe the first one was a fluke having a dead battery but lo and behold the second one has a dead battery as well. I like the clock. I like the large numbers and I like how you can dim it down at night. It does have a blue night light on the bottom you can turn on as well. The AM FM radio part is not that good.The biggest drawback it came with a dead battery. So I had to spend the money to get a battery because the seller has not responded. I feel they should have sent me a battery.

This is not a radio controlled clock or RRC. If the battery is dead, you will need to manually adjust the clock. It will not automatically correct itself for the time and date.

Just like in the description and I would recommend.

I've had an Emerson Smart-set clock-radio-CD player for many years but recently it developed functional issues making it intermittently undependable so I decided to look for a newer model. I chose this one because of it's clean lines combined with the easy to read, brightness adjustable blue digital display. While I no longer have any need for a CD player, or an O.T.A. radio, I want the radio's functionality in the event I need it at some point so this clock-radio hits the spot for me. The only issue I've had with this device was when I set it up for the first time. It didn't initially detect my time-zone or set itself to the correct time, not even after inserting a backup battery (not included) so I had to set those up manually. While this was not an issue for me, it is contrary to the advertised behavior so I must describe the device as not being in compliance with what's advertised. Based on that, buyer beware, but if the initial set-up functionality is not an issue for you and you want a great looking clock, you should consider this one.Ernie

I got this because it auto starts to right time. However, if their is no battery or the battery drains it becomes an issue.Had a blackout today and after reading the very confusing manual, discovered that it auto set to 2019. I manually reset it. Then set out to put in the battery. The cpmartment is very small and requires a very small screw driver. I stripped the the screw dispite careful attempts with a rubberband.My clock is no longer reliable, as a blackout will cause it to travel back to 2019. Stressful, if you have to rely on it to wake you.I dont even know if it came with a battery, just that its required to keep the unit stable in time and mine no longer is.
