It makes using it as a textbook much more facile.The audio files are adequate, however, the native Japanese speaker does both the English and Japanese text. There are a few mistakes or issues with accent that would be addressed if a native English speaker voiced the English text.I appreciate that a big section of the book was devoted to Japanese particles. It is an area that deserves the attention.The history and cultural insights are extensive and many are unique and should be especially helpful to Westerners.I would definitely recommend it since it is much more engaging than a dry language and grammar textbook.
