I have used this for two seasons now and an still amazed how powerful and efficient this little guy is. It's a little bit heavy to move around, but it is strong and durable. Assembly was easy enough, just attached the wheels. It is small enough to fit in the back of my truck with the cover CLOSED. I've not noticed any leaks, and it is pretty quiet, especially compared to gas powered splitters.

Unit works well, however make sure your logs are fairly straight or the log can pop out. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the unit. It sure beats splitting by hand.

Got it yesterday, used it first time today.1 - hardest part of setup was getting it up on the table.2 - definitely get it up on a table. much easier to use.3 - gave 4 stars for assemble only because the instructions for bleeding the oil valve are a bit unclear.4 - I just split about 40 logs. No issues splitting them.5 - for your own safety, stand back towards the control end of the splitter, not next to the splitting action. Some wood "explodes" when split. I realized that when a piece whizzed past my head.We'll see how it lasts but like it so far.

This splitter is a true work horse!! Absolutely a worthwhile investment!! Splits huge pieces of wood, easy to operate, and just amazingly powerful, the adjustment knob for the length of wood doesn’t work. It doesn’t stay where it’s placed-but overall I’m still really pleased.

The splitter didn't work right out of box. Heard a humming sound for a few seconds then shut off. Tripped several outlet breakers. Plugged it directly into GFI outlet and it still doesn't fully turn on. I ordered the $60 25ft 10-gauge extension cord that took a week to arrive and that didn't fix the problem either. One of the wheels just broke off moving the log splitter.Customer support instructed us to loosen 6 bolts at the back of motor to see if it would turn on. Motor did work. Slowly tightened the 6 bolts in order and while running motor. Machine is working now.

UPDATE: Do not buy this! I have tried to contact customer service and they will not return calls!!! If you buy it and it doesnt work you are screwed!! The motor will not start. There is a slight hum but that is all. Yes, I followed all of the instructions. Total waste of money. Only has a 90 day warranty which ran out way before I ever needed to use it. It is very sturdy built I just wish it actually wokrd.

This splitter arrived with a broken wheel. I messaged the company, after hours on a Friday evening, and they responded within an hour. They didn't have the parts I needed on hand for my repair, but they found a replacement part from another company on Amazon that worked. I didn't have the tool required to replace the wheel. They refunded me enough to buy the tool, the wheels, and my labor. The wheels they recommended were 10x better than the wheels that came on the splitter. The best part, the wheels came in a two-pack. The repair took a few minutes (I changed both cheap included wheels for the better quality replacements) and I got a quality tool I didn't have in my collection that I will need again.

Seems to do the job. I have split mesquite and pine so far. Actually it was a Good price point as well. Most box splitters for $299 were 5 HP. I did make an adjustment. I used a small c-clamp to hold the power button and a foot pedal from harbor freight. Two to power on and off. Awesome hack!
