This was perfect! I was able to preserve my favorite knives and store this sharpener in my utensil drawer without taking up much space.

I bought this knife sharpener based on all the positive reviews. Before I sharpened any of my knifes or scissors, I first read the instructions. I know, what a novel concept. Anyway when this knife sharpener arrived, I went to work and started sharpening 3 pairs of scissors and 10 knives. When I was done, I found they were only SLIGHTLY Shaper. I then sharpened them again according to the instructions. When I finished the second time, my scissors and knives never really got any sharper. To make my point, I took one of the knives I had sharpened and started cutting a head of lettuce. The knife blade edge slipped off the lettuce head and ended up cutting my thumb. A really sharp knife would of cut through the lettuce head like butter. A day later, I used another sharpened knife to slice a tomato. The blade edge initially didn't cut into the tomato. I had to first break the tomato skin with the knife point and then was able to slice the tomato. I won't be buying this kind of sharpener again. It was a waste of money.
