GYS - 043442 - Master 11 - True Colour Welding Helmet

When I first unboxed the mask I was sceptical. There are no buttons,switches, dials or batteries and it's incredibly light. The shell itself feels sturdy and the view screen is quite large.I took it to work the next day to carefully test it.The screen responds quickly and is definitely true colour. Its light weight and adjustable straps make it comfortable enough to wear all day. The large, rue colour screen almost makes everything easy to see, even the variations of the weld colours. Definitely a good choice for MIG & MMA welding. I've not yet had a chance to test with TIG.

I've been doing the odd welding job on cars and other things for 25 years, if it was a small job i never used a normal helmet because you cant a dam thing until your welding so i just used dark sunglasses with good uv protection. Used this last week repairing/strengthening the bead breaker on my tire machine and wow. You don't notice it go dark, its so instant the millisecond you press the trigger, there is about a second delay to go clear again when you've stopped but you get used to that. My welding is now much neater now i can actually see whats going on, its not as dark as my standard welding mask either but its dark enough

Very annoyingly, as a Christmas gift, it was sent to me unboxed and with the my address label stuck very securely onto the product packaging! It was unsealed and although nothing missing it could of easily of been so.As it's not for me I can't comment with experience but it seems very lightweight, flimsy and cheap. Although not for professional usage it seems like a few sparks and it'll melt. Time will tell but if it does turn out to be rubbish then Amazon are having it back in the same way it was sent to me

I bought this item exactly 2 months ago. It's not working correctly. It won't brighten now and just stays dark. Returning defective items on amazon after 30 day window is not straight forward.
