Funny and Entertaining - a Great Ice-breaker for Kids, Families and Friends!
The “TALKWISE” 700 Conversation Cards for Kids, Fun Kids Conversation Starter Cards for Kids, Teens, Family Night, Dinner, Play Conversation Games, Color-Coded Across 6 Topics, Take Anywhere” arrived promptly and were much better than described online.I chose these cards as we have a very large family and an even larger collection of close friends. Whenever we get together, every occasion is one big party with lots of interesting games. TALKWISE conversation starter cards are our newest addition and add lots of fun to our gatherings. In addition, we always have a theme and decorations, music and homemade favorite foods to make the occasion festive as family, friends and guests enter our home.700 Conversation Cards for Kids (and teens and adults!) gets us into a happy, talkative mood instantly. They are useful ice-breakers on many occasions, as family, friends and guests often travel long distances for our frequent reunions. We used to begin with a lively game of team “Charades,” but 700 Cards works faster, with much less effort. Since there are no set rules, party-goers are free to create their own rules and even work in teams. This produced hilarious results at our last party, with our recent first question “Would you trade places with an animal for a day? Which one?” Group members chose different animals and acted out their parts and answers” while everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves. We offer each player the option of choosing another card if they are not comfortable with their first pick. With 700 cards to choose from, it will be a long time before we go through the entire deck.Cards are necessarily small to accomodate 700 of them (1-3/4” x 2-1/2”), but they have clear, easy to read print for most people. Cards are plastic-coated and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Just be sure to dry them thoroughly before returning them to the stack.Compact cards can travel easily, or can be used at the dinner table, parties, get-togethers and family reunions. Cards are divided into six topics - groups can be chosen according to the group participants or by age appropriateness:* Getting to Know You* Family Time* Silly and Fun* When You Grow Up* Deeper Meaning and Thoughtfulness* Friends and SchoolSUMMARY:Remember that this is one game where there are no wrong answers. Keep it light and cheerful. It’s highly recommended as an ice-breaker for kids, families and friends. A good value for the money, they will bring JOY into your life - which is priceless!Enjoy!

Good, though provoking questions good for kids.
I got this to use with my Cub Scouts, Sunday School, and my wife's classroom. It's the type of thing that will come in useful a few times a year, so I appreciate that it's not too big. The cards are smaller than typical playing cards (about 1/2 the size of a standard playing card) so all 700 fit in a pretty small box (2.25"x2.75"x5.25"). The questions are divided into six categories and are sorted in the box. An area of color at the top of each card helps you quickly identify what category you're pulling a card from. The questions are great questions for kids, too. They're simple enough that they don't feel overwhelming for kids, but can often lead to good conversations, discussions, and follow-up questions. The kids actually have fun answering the questions! It's easy to take up quite a bit of time with just a few questions. And if a particular question doesn't spur as much conversation as you expect, just flip the card for another question in the same category or draw another card. All 700 cards are double sided, so you get 1400 questions!

keeps the conversation going!
So, you met a person at the grocery store and you two hit it off... lots of things in common, yada-yada-yada kids go to the same school they have a couple of things in common, they are both a bit shy and they both love to read. So, you invite them over for a playdate, everyone is quiet... THEN, YOU SAVE THE DAY... break open this conversation (starter) cards and get the conversation going! Yup, that happen. So glad I ordered these cards. They are small, seem thick enough and have a laminated coating that will keep them from getting wet or tear easily. They are colorful and filled with tons of... questions!Needless to say, kids (and us) had a great time getting to know each other and as a bonus, we got to know our own child's interests!Highly-double-triple recommend!

Vast set of age-appropriate conversation topics
We help take care of foster kids from time to time, and so we often need activities to help keep them occupied. I thought these conversation cards might be an interesting activity for us to do while they're here, and I'm looking forward to trying them out. So far the cards seem very promising. The card pack comes boxed (with a lid/cover) and the cards are color coded according to six different categories: Getting to Know You (yellow), When You Grow Up (green), Deeper Meaning (red), Fun and Random (orange), Family Time (pink), and Friends and School (blue). Cards have questions on both sides, and as far as I can tell, the questions are appropriate for a general audience. In this day and age, you never can be sure whether you'll get some inappropriate ideas inserted into a game like this, but based on what I have read, the content of these is generic and safe for everyone. Questions range from the philosophical ("Why is it important to have goals?") to the social ("If you could have a picnic with your friends, what food would you bring?") to the silly ("If you could create a new flavor of bubblegum, what would it taste like?").I should add that this card set is not a structured "game" per se, and there are no rules. They are simply conversation starters. Although you could come up with conversational question for children on your own, the sheer number of cards in this set makes it vastly more convenient if your intent is to generate potentially interesting discussions.

Tons of questions, nice way to connect
My kids are late elementary school and just getting to the age where everything is a one word answer, so I was happy to find a gamified way to connect with them more.My oldest rolls his eyes when I bust out this deck but he still answers the questions, so I'll count that as a win!I love that there are soooo many questions; by the time we run through them, their answers will probably change! We now have a tradition of pulling out a card or two after dinner and having everyone answer. Now we're trying to figure out a way where we can turn them into an actual, interactive, maybe even competitive game. Open to ideas!
