Haven't tried this for mice, but for spiders and insects this definitely works well, and the mix of smells doesn't smell unpleasant.

I recently decided to try this spider and insect repellent spray, mainly because I’m not the biggest fan of sharing my house with eight-legged “friends.” The fact that it’s a homemade deterrent made by a family business caught my eye, and I do appreciate that it’s a humane solution. Plus, the peppermint, lavender, and citronella blend smells surprisingly pleasant! It’s like a spa day for your house – well, if you like your spa days with a side of spider anxiety.Mixing it up was easy enough, and you get a lot for your money since it makes 15 litres, which is more than enough to tackle every nook and cranny. As for effectiveness, it's a bit hit and miss. The smaller insects seem to be avoiding the areas I’ve sprayed, but the spiders? Let’s just say a couple of bold ones have still shown up for their morning stretch in the bathroom. Cheeky things.I can't say much about its effect on mice or rats – I haven't spotted any, so maybe it's working there. Or maybe they’re just hiding better now! Either way, I’m calling it a partial victory.Overall, it’s good value, especially if you like natural solutions and enjoy the herbal scent wafting around your home. Just don’t expect it to magically banish every creepy crawly overnight – the spiders are clearly made of sterner stuff!

A great idea from Crystal Opus that saves money and storage space.Peppermint mouse repellent has worked wonders for my loft over the last year, with the main drawback being that is ends up pretty expensive. Crystal Opus have developed a concentrated oil blend that you can mix up yourself for a significant saving in cost!The oil blend mixes well, but I found that the recommended quantity was far too weak compared to what I've previously used. In the end, I needed about 3 times the number of drops they recommended to get it strong enough to be comparable.However, even with a triple dose this is still great value! At only £7.99, I can get about 5 full coverings of my loft with this. To put this in perspective, one spray or bag of peppermint balls usually costs more than £10 for only one use. Pretty impressive value for money here.Overall, a solid 4/5 for value and effect, not quite as good value as suggested as I needed to use a lot more for the desired outcome, but still very good indeed!
