These will last forever, so why not get the best?
These are so much more expensive than, say, the Amazon basics version. But they feel so much better in your hands. They way they screw together is just butter. Also unlike many generic plugs, or even some lesser quality name brands like Sewell's Dead Bolt version, they do not contain any iron or steel in the conducting parts (check with a magnet and you'll see what I mean). They are going to last a lifetime and really how many speaker cables do you need to build in your life? Do the math. It's worth it. I highly recommend the 12AWG silver tinned cable you can get on Amazon for about 75 cents a foot. It's blue and black. These pair magically with it. I never thought I'd say I can tell the difference between cables and connectors, with these I can--especially in the higher frequencies.

Great purchase!
Fantastic investment for my audio system. Easy to add to speaker wires (there is a great mini tutorial here in the reviews) and has made switching speakers and receivers so much easier.I thrift the majority of my retro setup so a lot of testing is in order. These banana plugs have been great for swapping between components to test and troubleshoot issues without all the fiddling with the wires.I wish I had bought these sooner!

Easy High Quality Plugs!
Excellent quality! Very easy to make speaker cables with banana plugs on the ends! I used Amazon Basics 16ga speaker cable and took 5 minutes to make 2 sets! You just have to split your speaker cable down the middle and put the end through the center. Then strip your wire and fold it over and screw the end on! Done! Easy high quality ends that can be reused or upgraded with better wire. So happy with them that I have bought them twice!

Amazing quality for this price-point ...
This is easy ... Just do yourself a favor and "Buy Now" These are seriously Professional Grade ... audiophiles take note... they fit tight and are seriously bullet-proof...Now there is one Gotcha that may get you in trouble so take note... If you are installing these on an old-school tuner/amp disregard this, However, if you are installing it on a tiny limited space digital amp (like my Fosi Audio Bluetooth Subwoofer Amplifier) you may find the plugs can actually touch each other and since it's a metal to metal "touch" you may have issues - but not to worry, use red electrical tape around the red colored plug (ok yeah, black is fine too) or slip a piece of shrink-wrap over one plug and no issue with connecting your right and left tracks together via the "touch"... If you Really know old school electronics these work like the old PL-259 coaxial plugs, you just don't need solder... so if you're buying large gauge cable and cheap plugs, you are throwing away a lot of beer money for nothing...

Solid build, easy to assemble, but socket retention isn't great
I typically use Monoprice closed screw type banana plugs, but recently switched to using FosPower and GearIT dual set screw style plugs. The set screw style is the most forgiving when you start using lower gauge wire. The Monoprice plugs were just chewing up my fingers on the 12 awg wire.I decided to give these a shot because it's a decent brand and the there's a couple other plugs out there just like them (including an Amazon Basics plug). These are definitely worth their weight... The plugs are fairly heavy compared to all my others. They are also the easiest to assemble, didn't chew up my fingers, and played nice with my 12 AWG wire. However, the problem came when I actually plugged them into the banana plug sockets. I would say about 80% of them stay fully engaged in the socket. The others wanted to pull out about 40-60% from the weight of the cable. While this is a bit less than ideal, the plug still makes solid contact. The reason the plug is able to pull out is the how long pin's flared pieces are. I originally thought that would be good, but there's just not enough spring action to make it pop back out after being inserted. I ended up using a small knife to pry them up a bit. This has helped, but the plugs still pull out slightly.

Quick, Easy and Excellent Banana Plugs
Connecting banana plugs to speaker wire has never been so easy. I've connected speaker cable many times in the past, but I don't remember getting my banana plugs attached so cleanly and effortlessly. If its an option, I always use banana plug ends to speaker wires because once the connection is made, the delivery of the audio signal is flawless. That was the case here. I ran 12 awg speaker wire from my garage, where I just installed an amp/receiver, to my outdoor patio where I'm powering two Klipsch 650 outdoor speakers. It was one and done. Over 30 feet of cable and the music and connection is perfect. I will look for these on my speaker installments in the future.
