Perfect one battery issues fixed, amazign shell
Got this one because of the shell and it is perfect! Although the battery drains fast, we found some useful information on how to extend it and after that was fixed the experience with the device got perfect!

No fit for purpose
Purchased three tamagotchi connects for my three children for Christmas and all three have had the exact same issue. They can hatch, feed, care for the ‘pet’ fine for days but as soon as they load the game to play a game to make it happy it crashes and comes up with the battery sign. We reset the devices and again it would work fine until the we loaded the games and then it would crash again. Seems to be a common software issue. We contacted the company for advise and didn’t even get a response from them so I will be trying to return these as they are not fit for purpose. Such a shame as my girls were excited to connect and play together with their newer model tamagotchis.

Poor battery life
Received this on the 20th March. By the 2nd April I have had to replace the battery two times. Battery life is shocking and nothing like the old 90's tamogotchi battery life. The characters are different too.However decent game but battery life really lets it down. If purchasing I would advise to also purchase a rechargable button battery pack too to save money on having to keep purchasing batteries.

Best "retro" tamagotchi model
As a collector I love these, they're gorgeous and they feature some mechanics that the other tamagotchis don't have like weight, which gives the way you play it more consequence. If you like tamagotchis absolutely grab this one especially if it's on sale. If you're concerned that you can't use an item, it may be because it's exclusive to certain characters, which is part of more of the variation that makes me love this tama.
