Immortelle Overnight Reset Serum 30ml

This is an overnight serum from L'Occitane. The serum comes in a really nice and fancy glass bottle with a pump dispenser.The serum has pleasant rich consistency and herbal/floral scent. It looks a bit oil-like when it comes out of the dispenser but it does not feel greasy at all. It applies very easily, it glides on the skin.My skin feels very smooth and moisturised when I used it. It certainly is a great addition to my evening routine. I use it on top of my moisturiser as I didn't quite like using the serum on its own.

The lightweight formula absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling hydrated and refreshed. The serum is made with vegan and natural-origin ingredients, which is important to me. I'm also pleased that it's a natural alternative to retinol, as I prefer to avoid harsh chemicals. I didn't notice a significant improvement in the appearance of my skin since I started using this serum, but my fine lines and wrinkles seem to be less visible, and my skin tone appears more even.

This is lovely stuff. It’s an oil lotion thats not too greasy. It goes into the skin very quickly. I have very dry hands and this stuff absorbed into the hands leaving them soft. It’s for the face but I’m finding it’s making my tired hands so much better. I have been using it around the frown area and it’s makes the skin more elastic so the fine lines blend away easier. It’s really is good at helping rejuvenate the skin. You don’t need to use much and using it sparingly will help as it’s not for those on a budget. This premium actually lives up to expectations.

This is a gorgeous looking product from a big name, so I was interested to give it a try.It comes boxed and bottled, and sealed for hygiene, which is good. Everything is so very well presented that it would make a great gift.Myself, I prefer serums by far to any lotions or creams, and I have sensitive skin, and anything except a light serum tends to make me break out. I was a little wary of using an oil-based serum, but I do trust L'Occitane and so was happy to try this. The bottle is very weighty in the hand, and feels very premium. It has a pump dispenser to deliver a small quantity, which is all you need, I think (just as well, given the price). Again, it also smells like a premium product, rather more herbal than floral.This is a night serum, so I was applying it to clean skin, before bed. It soaks in pretty much immediately, and feels like a good moisturiser, in terms of how soft it leaves the skin. As I mentioned, I have sensitive skin, and had no reaction to this.Does it work? It's always difficult to say, particularly when I've used it just short of two weeks. I don't generally pay that much attention to my skin at the best of times, unless I'm trying something out. It quotes test results, but when you read closely, the sample of women was *very* small--just 32--plus they were using the serum and the cream together. Also the wording is very important here; it quoted that women "said" their skin was more radient or more taut. Not that these things were clinically measured, and proved to be. I tend to take these'tests' with a dose of salt, I'm afraid. However, I guess I can only do the same when I state my results. I'm not sure how much it noticably firmed my skin, but it certainly hydrated it well. It smoothed it in terms of making the skin feel smoother if I brushed my fingers over it ten minutes after I used it, but I'm not sure how much it actually visibly smoothed it. Then again, to be fair, I think you need to have a far longer trial than two weeks.What I will say is that I liked the results sufficiently to continue using it, which is rare for me. My skin did feel more hydratedr patches settling and clearing; it definitely felt like the serum was adding something that my skin was lacking.So with the caveat that everyone's skin is different, I'd say I'm happy to set this elegant product down on my shelf for now. It takes a lot to earn a place there, and I hope this product continues to impress.
