Gator G-Tour ATA - Tour Case for 1x12 Combo Amps

The case is well made and very solid. Nothing about it feels cheap. The materials are top notch, the latches are strong, and the casters are incredibly smooth. The padding that is provided is more than sufficient to keep your cab safe. It says that it fits most 4x12 cabinets and I would say this is probably a fairly accurate statement. I play a Mesaboogie Recto cab, which is an oversized cab. I had to pull the bottom layer of foam out of the case to get my cab in it and even then it’s a very snug fit. This may be an issue for some people but unless you have an oversized cab, it really should not be an issue for you. My buddy’s regular sized Mesa cab fits with no problems and my other guitar player’s Orange 4x12 fits with no problems. The case comes with a lot of modular foam pieces that can be affixed to the inside of the case for smaller cabs to ensure a snug, secure fit.The rear access panel is easy to use and conveniently designed to give you easy access to the back of your cab without requiring a bunch of space to open a large door. The hatch is hinged about halfway down the height of the case and a ribbon on either side prevent the hatch from falling entirely open but allows it to open enough to get behind your cab and run your speaker cable. The metal plate with the Gator Logo swivels, allowing you to run your cable through a hole hidden beneath so the hatch can be closed while on stage.Other than that, it’s a standard road case. It is very large and very heavy. There are handles on each side and the front and the back. The handles are very strong and show no signs of strain when lifting the case loaded with my cab.Truthfully, $500 is a bit steep. There are other case manufacturers that make cases just as good that are a little more tailored to specific cabs meaning they may offer better protection and a better fit. However, Gator is a good company with great quality products. I have their G Tour Pedal Board/Case and the G Tour Head Case for my amp and this is why I decided to drop a little bit extra; because I knew it would be solid quality.Over all, I'm really happy with this case.

Great case. Velcro custom padding is nice. The latch system is solid. Took me a little time to figure out. Wheels are fast and rubberized allowing you to lock them into place. It can take a pretty big amp. Top and bottom are padded as well. Overall, I'm pleased but mine came delivered with a giant dent on one of the round elbows. All in all, if you want it protected and mobile this is it.

I love Gator, their cases are really built well and can take a beating. Unfortunately for me it had a beating before it left the factory. Great price but I would prefer to put dents in the trim myself vs. buying it NEW with one. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to have a safe transport case. Two other things to consider though:1-The case weighs 30lbs on its own so it adds a lot of weight. I have a Triple Rectifier which is heavy in the first place now its very heavy..but protected well!2-Handles are only on the side. I am 6'3" tall so my arms are a little wider than most and its kind of cumbersome carrying it from the side handles. It would have definitely benefited me to also have a handle on the top.

Very nice case! We purchased it for my husband's VOX guitar amp when we were moving. He wanted to make sure the movers didn't damage his amp. There were plenty of different sizes of foam padding included in the case so he could customize the way the amp fit in the case. He is very happy with the purchase. It has to be the smoothest gliding anything I've ever seen too.

Nice Protection for gigs. Easy to move around the stage with wheels unlocked and stays in place when in locked. Cannot be unlocked by mistake. (You don't want your rig rolling across the stage as you are playing) . Can use with the back with a cleverly placed name plate that slides to access a hole for you Head to Speaker cords or has a flip down compartment.

Solid case, good value for the money. They give you all of the extra foam padding to customize the inside for your amp head. A little heavy but solid.

Love it. So pro in my living room I play everyday, now.

It fits our Fender 212 amp very well. It comes with a lot of foam inserts to keep the amp from moving inside during transport. I just wish the inserts would fit and install like a custom insert, but they should do the job.

Very good at price we paid but have gone up considerably since then - by over £150. Some of foam inserts have been stuck in the wrong way round but have managed to sort that. Velcro needed to be restuck in several places too. Lots of padding supplied with case so can be adapted to take any size of amp. Seems to be sturdily built.

I’ve supposed it was a bit more lighter but doesn’t matter it can resist to thousands concertsHonestly happy for that

Great case at a great price

The Fender Vibrolux Amp picture on Amazons site sitting in the Gator 212 case was the same as mine yet the Gator Case was meant for a Fender Twinn which is much larger Amp. Also the weight of the case is listed at 17kg on the specs yet the case actually was 34kg which made it much too heavy for my purpose. I would never had order the case if I knew it was for a larger heavier Amp. After shipping the amp back it took a week after it was delivered to get a refund. None of this was my fault. Ordering from a third party through Amazon doesn't work for me and I won't be doing it again.
